Holiday Inn Express & Suites Allentown West, an IHG Hotel

It was an amazing stay the staff was very friendly and the room was very nice breakfast was also a big hit with my grandkids. Will be staying again on next trip

My family and I loved the place

Our family loved everything. Everyone was very nice, courteous, food was delicious, coffee was so good, pool and exercise room excellent. Room was so clean, beds was so comfortable. We loved everything. We didn’t like nothing.

Extremely reasonable pricing, and quick nice check in. The beds are comfortable and we got a large room for two adults and two kids - have my two year old on the sofa bed, son in one bed, and husband and I in the other.

Me and my family stood for two days and the hotel was very clean the staff was very friendly. My kids loved that there was an indoor pool. And the breakfast was good as well. We will be staying there in the future.

This was a standard off the highway Holiday Inn. We did not spend much time in the room because we were there to have experiences. This hotel worked out well for that purpose. The beds were clean. The bathroom was fine. We were hoping to take the kids to the pool for a quick swim, but it was closed for cleaning for our entire stay. 2 nights. That was disappointing. The other suggestion I would have is to add drinking water. There was no where to get drinking water. No small bottles in the room or cooler with a tap in the lobby or breakfast area or even water for purchase.

Very nice place to stay very family friendly

After seeing 8 stars out of 10, I expected a nice place to stay with our family, but I’d never stay here again. The first room that we got had hairs all over the bathroom. They were not only on the floor but also in the bathtub as well. The caulk around the toilet was haphazard at best. The plug in the drain wasn’t even on properly. The grout in most of the tile was almost black, even though it clearly was supposed to be off white (by looking at the grout by the walls). Outside of our room there was a toenail on the carpet. In addition to the unsanitary conditions, we checked the listing just after checking in and saw it was $40 cheaper than when we booked it. When we had Expedia contact hotel management, we were told that not only wouldn’t they price match, but despite the state of the room, the only way they’d refund anything is if we checked out that night and left. It was almost 9pm at this point so we couldn’t leave with a 6 year old who was exhausted after a day of travel. I ended up asking for at least a different room, and the desk clerk did that without trouble which was nice. Thankfully the new room was at least clean, but it was so loud because it was facing the main road.

The cleaning staff needs to be more aware of things in the room. We checked in and there were 4 wash clothes left in the bathroom that were used. The shower was not clean there was hair in it when we arrived. The front desk lady was super nice and apologetic (it wasn’t her fault). The rooms are a nice size and the beds are comfortable. The pool was a nice surprise for the kids and the breakfast was included. (Just didn’t like I couldn’t find a kitchen staff member because the toaster wasn’t working)
