Holiday Inn Express & Suites Allentown-Dorney Park Area, an IHG Hotel

Horrible!!! Checkin we got to room and no light bulb, broken lamp, broken toilet paper roll, room smelled like mildew. We head out to visit family, tell the front desk, girl says they will check room. We come back 5-6 hrs later nothing fixed. Almost midnight I had to call front desk, ppl above us pounding on floor, screaming yelling. 6am woke up to same thing pounding yelling etc Cleaning people literally lined up outside our room talking soooooo loud. Checkout time is what 11am why do they not understand people sleep. We got up showered and got the hell out of there, didbt even utilize our free breakfast we were so sleep deprived. **couldn't upload the videos of the hanging roll and loud noise from not only ppl above us but ALL the loud cleaning people with NO consideration at all.

Traveling back to Texas from 2 family funerals in New York. HI Express conveniently located along I40. A little too much traffic noise, otherwise a great value and exceeded our expectations. Helpful, courteous, knowledgeable staff. Excellent, clean accommodations.

Property was small but perfect. Very clean and the breakfast included was delicious. I would stay at hotel again for sure. Be sure to call hotel to confirm the park view room if that is what you booked when I checked in they apparently overbooked so I didn’t get the park view. My kids was upset

We got to the hotel at 3:30 and checked in at the lobby. The lady at the front desk checked us in and gave us the room key and went to our room after. We got to the room to find out it was not ready yet and the housekeeper just started cleaning it so we have to go back down the lobby (carrying an infant, a toddler and our belongings) which was such a hassle. We were told it was gonna be ready in 15mins which it did. The front desk sent us back up to our room and when we got there, you could definitely tell that the housekeeper rushed cleaning it. The bathroom had few smeared of whatever in the shower and the room smelled so bad. And then the day we checked out the elevator was not working. Guess who had to use the stairs with a baby stroller. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Service was very disappointing.

Staff at this location is truly courteous & highly professional that includes everyone. Shout out to front desk man at night that helped us check-in seamlessly, made himself available for any guest services or questions to be answered, and went above & beyond to ensure excellent experience. He also did a great job by keeping an eye on bunch of young teenagers entering the premises & engaging them to ensure safety/ security. Breakfast was great, beds were comfy and we had an excellent stay as a family of five including an infant.

It was very conveniently located near family in Allentown.

Overall, property was satisfactory (clean, safe, amenities, accessibility), except for some noise at night around midnight to 5am (kids running the hallway/playing music). We could even hear the ice vending machine.

The Holiday Inn Express @ Dorney Park is directly across the street from the Dorney Park entrance...we walked to the park and saved the parking fee. The room was equipped with a small refrigerator & microwave (a plus) and the beds were very comfortable. The only issue my wife had, the staff didn't seem to be prepared for the large amount of guest that came for the complimentary breakfast. Small issue to me but my wife didn't take to kindly to it especially when trying to feed the kids. All in all I like the hotel and definitely would recommend it.
