The hotel is extremely LOUD because loads of couples stay here with their kids because the indoor pool and they slam doors with no regard for the time. The beds are too soft and lumpy. The bathrooms are old and outdated. The carpet is old. The hotel charges too much for the quality of stay. I won’t ever be back.

First off…I booked the hotel for my daughter’s dance competition that was being held at this property in 2013 for comfort and ease. At check in-no rooms available even though I had my reservation. They agreed to put us up in a Hampton 20 min away (with traffic). There was nothing else they could do, so they said. We were staying there with other families that had rooms there also. One family was given the wrong class of room, so the hotel upgraded them to a suite, when we were just told they had no more rooms!!!! Another friend had to go get cleaning supplies to clean their room themselves as it was so nasty. 2 of the 3 elevators did not work and the one that do, only exited to the outside of the building…a huge safety issue and kids getting to the bottom floor had to go outside and then enter the building through the main lobby. Also unsafe. What a nightmare of a weekend that should have been fun and easy. Such a huge trip and expense only to be ruined by the way this property is managed.

booked this hotel mainly for our child to enjoy the heated pool but a note on the door dated 12-10 said they would have the issue taken care of in the next 24 - 48 hrs. and the current date was 12-16> not only us but other families with children were disappointed also! the next morning we went to have a continental breakfast and were informed breakfast (buffet at that) would be 16.95 per adult! I informed them of the disapointment we experiencd and I will not book at that hotel ever again

You wouldn’t know from the outside how horrible the rooms are. This used to be a beautiful hotel. They have let of fall apart. I will attach a few photos but also wall paper was falling off and plastic protectors for the wallpaper were separated from the wall. Couch was sagging and in poor repair. BR sink took an hour to drain after washing hands so always had nasty water in it. Tub was old with permanent stains. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We were promised a 2pm check in and when we got there at 230 our room wasn’t ready and they had to ask housekeeping to finish our room so we waited half hour. There was no place to get kids a snack or the adults a drink. On a Sunday the bar opens at 3 and restaurant at 5. They must not get much business. I would guess no one comes back for a second stay.

I didn’t like the hidden fees. It was 50 dollars for each room like we get it back is a security deposit but that should have been listed with the hotel. And when we got there the names on the room had been different and I’m not sure why. Also it should state person has to be 21 (even military) because had I know that I would’ve booked elsewhere due to availability and getting home to my family. Again military should be allowed to book in their name. Had I not had someone with me I would’ve had to sleep in my truck.

We visited friends and family. The hotel was lovely outside of the fact that the mattress needed replacing. It was very uncomfortable unlike other luxury hotels we have stayed in. We would not go back because a good nights rest on a pillow top mattress is imperative.
