Best Western Dutch Valley Inn

When we arrived to check in, the desk clerk was taking a reservation over the phone and never acknowledged us waiting. There was an issue with the card key entry on rooms and my son's family was locked out of their room for hours and then had to switch rooms. Our room was to.have been non-smoking but there was a smoky odor. This hotel is very dated - small bathrooms with hardly enough room for one person. I would never stay here again.

Exit door to the outside was broken and wouldn’t close leaving our room unsecured next to it. Bathroom light blew out, asked that it be replaced. Couldn’t use bath at night till it was. Came back after 4 hours at family funeral event and it wasn’t fixed. No explanation other than “he must not have gotten to it.” I had to request something be done and all I got was you can change rooms if you want. Then no offer to help change rooms, no idea where the luggage cart was but told us we could use the laundry cart if we wanted. After moving ourselves we attended a family reunion the next day and when we returned there was NO toilet paper, tissues or soap in the second room. Again went to front desk and explained the problem and was told I could move rooms, to which I replied Hell NO! Just give me 2rolls of toilet paper, a box of tissue and some soap. With a deer in the headlight look she said she wasn’t sure there was any she could give me but she’d go look. I will NEVER stay there or any other BW again.
