Courtyard by Marriott Canton

We recently stayed here for a championship baseball tournament. The staff was friendly and helpful and the lobby area has plenty of hands on activities for kids. The pool area was very small and poorly designed. Anytime someone would jump in pool, there would be a large puddle of water on the edge of pool. This quickly became a safety concern for slipping. The pool area was also very loud and echoed. There need to be an outdoor pool area, too. The elevator was very narrow and difficult to bring luggage and guests on. Our stay overall was great with these exceptions.

Loved the lobby with games for the kids and a bar for us. Lovely pool but no towels there.

The hotel was very well kept, clean, organized , super friendly staff! There just happened to be kids soccer tournaments taking place, lots of kids. The management and staff were very busy, and handled everything fantastic. Enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the place to others.

Almost everything was great. Traveling with wife and kids, and everything from check in to pool access was very easy. Only issue with the room was a dirty, stained mattress on the extra pull out bed. We had planned to have one of our toddlers use it, but after seeing it quickly changed our minds. The rest of the room was nice. There was an abundance of electrical outlets which was nice. Family of 5, each having devices charging at the same time and still had extra room. A large TV which the kids enjoyed. A ton of lighting options. The fridge in the room you had to activate via a button inside and it would chill for two hours. It kept our left overs cold enough but not sure how long it would keep things cold without running, we didn't really test it. The main beds were clean and all of us slept comfortably. Not much noise in the room, couldn't hear anyone else on the floor which was nice. Pool and workout center was a tad small but a great addition. The main issue we had with the hotel was a lack of security (staff) to address the 'bad' guests that were there. They were a group of 20 people drinking alcohol at the pool and trashing the place. They took over the entire pool area, pushing out other families. Their children ran up and down the halls and destroyed the fitness center. Throwing weights and trash around while I was in there using the equipment. I finished using the fitness center well after 11pm and the kids were still running around unsupervised.

The room was very nice and clean. We stayed to swim and the pool was overcrowded so we didn’t get to very long and then someone puked in the pool, which isn’t the hotels fault, but if you’re going there to swim with your family, good luck.

The hotel itself is great. The rooms were spotless. The lobby was beautiful and one of the best around for families. LeAnn at the front desk was very kind and helpful. My only complaint has nothing to do with the hotel. The children in the hot tub were not being supervised by parents. I only come for the hot tub and bad parents ruined this stay. I just wish that security would make sure these unruly kids are not ruining a stay for others. Teens were just rude and stayed in the hot tub so long. Young kids should not be in this hot tub so long anyway. Toddlers were coming and going. If a parent was with them they were at a table talking and not watching their kids.The same kids kept taking towel after towel. Teens were laying in the hallway blocking the hall and did not move. They were ridiculous. LACK OF PARENTING AND DISRESPECTFUL KIDS ARE THE ONLY PROBLEM ON BUSY DAYS. Great hotel!
