Hampton Inn Medina

The staff was very friendly and did an amazing job! Breakfast was great with an awesome selection and the staff kept the food well stocked for the high volume of guests at the hotel during our stay. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was redone since our last stay. The new showers were beautiful but the shower heads could have been a bit better quality. Despite the hotel being packed we still had hot showers every morning. I would recommend that a small plunger be available in each room for guest usage as my husband had to ask the clerk at the desk for one in the middle of the night and it took about 40 minutes for him to locate one for y husband to use and return. My kids loved the pool and it was very clean and stocked with towels. The floors were a bit crumbly due to the chlorine and the towels could have been a little lager to cover an adult body (I and only a size 12 and I could barely fit one around me.

We had a brief wait before someone came to the front desk at check-in, but once she arrived she was very friendly and helpful. Our room was ok. Beds are not very comfortable and room wasn't very clean. It appeared clean at first glance, but the bathroom floor looked like it only gets mopped in the middle. The edges, around the toilet, etc were quite dirty. The carpet didn't appear to have been vacuumed. We found a Bobby pin and other little things on the floor. Also, when we opened a drawer to put a few things away it was full of pet hair and dust/dirt. The breakfast was great, which is the main reason we usually choose Hampton Inns. They were out of milk, but otherwise everything was stocked and tasty. The pool area was clean and enjoyable for our family. There was a shortage of towels though. We only had 3 towels in our room for our family of five, and though there was a rack in the pool for towels, there were only a few left and we needed them all. We swam around 8:30 am so the rest of the day I assume there were no pool towels for anyone else. This was our second stay at this location (we were visiting family in the area) but after this visit we will likely stay somewhere else next time.

Food was good. Pool was so chlorinated my kids eyes were burning. Room also stunk like cleaners.

My only concern is that our room was a connected room and I didn’t like that. At 530 am a toddler next door (louder as it a connected room) was screaming, crying and the parents weren’t even trying to console the baby. I called the desk but it continued for another hour and half. Having a disability made it hard for me to go to the desk so I called. I have children so I understand but there was no one even trying to console the little one. Otherwise the facility was very nice.

We enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn Medina. The room was nice and clean, the staff was very friendly and the kids really enjoyed the indoor pool
