Homewood Suites by Hilton Akron Fairlawn, OH

Last minute reservation. Very smooth process. Room was very comfortable. Nice Outdoor area to catch up with family!

When we checked in, the pull out couch mattress was filthy and the springs were practically coming through the fabric. While they were quick to replace the mattress, the spring issue remained. Overall the hotel seems dirty and not kept up (furniture and hardware falling apart and things not well stocked). Also, the room layout is not well suited for a family. But, the lobby looks nice.

Would not allow my wife to check in when we were coming from different locations. I had to buy a second room bc I wasn’t getting there until midnight, just so my kids including a 1 year old would have a place to go. They said no to every way we gave to prove my identity including FaceTime with my license. “We’ve had fraud before”… Well seeing as we share the same last name, you can work with us a little bit. We travel a lot and have never had this problem before. Absolute garbage.

Room was spacious enough for my family of 6. Kitchen stocked with all needed dishes. Pool was nice but hot tub broken...a couple bugs in pool, no towels at pool and had to ask fpr several times...only 2 towels in room. Overall nice for the $

Paper thin walls. Heard someone running non stop on the floor above me. I made every effort to grant grace as I know how difficult it is to have children in a hotel room. it turns out, it wasn’t a child, yet at least five people and a dog. this would’ve been no issue at all. Had there just been better sound production. In the meantime, 400 dollars later we haven’t slept in days.

This place was perfect for our family. It was clean, the staff was so friendly and attentive. The breafast was by far the best we've had. On the last day we were leaving at 6am and they were so kind to let us grab some cereal for our kids on the road. They always had fresh coffee out all hours of the day. We really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was warm and it was wonderful.

Checked in on Friday with no issues, tried to take kids down to pool for an hour before bed and it was closed. Saturday we (5) guest woke to prepare for an event and we had no towels. I went down to the front desk and was told there were no towels available and they didn't know when some would be available. I had to go out and purchase towels in order for us to shower. Unacceptable

We really enjoyed our suite. We did have a problem with all the noise in the hallways kids running back and forth yelling i think they were playing on the elevator?

Room was not clean. Found trash in the sofa, someones shorts in the let out couch, let out bed lining broken, mold in the bathroom, cabinets door at the bottom not aligned making it easy for a toddler to slam their fingers, original blanket piled for the let out bed but replaced with a nicer one. On last day, only given two towels for a room with 6 people. Still waiting on my credit for the first night because there was not another room available to move too.

We reserved a one-bedroom suite and were assigned room 428 on the top floor. The room was standard Homewood Suites - spacious and well furnished. But maintenance and upkeep were sub-par. The stove top didn't work correctly. We complained about it on the day of our arrival (Saturday) and were told it couldn't be fixed until Monday and there were no available rooms to switch us to. Monday came and went with no repair - apparently they just forgot about it. The mattresses were old - uneven and lumpy, and badly in need of replacement. The pillows were also old and had lost their bulk. One of the TV remotes didn't fully work (the on-off button didn't work, among others), so we had to use the other remote for both TVs. The A/C fan in the living room was extremely loud. We had very loud neighbors with kids bouncing off the walls until midnight all three nights of our stay. Traffic noise was disruptive, especially early on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
