Sonesta ES Suites Columbus Dublin

The pool was great for the entire family, rooms were clean with the exception of the carpet which was absolutely filthy. The property/buildings including guest rooms is run down, in need of sanding and repainting. Paint in the bathroom is cracking. The area (Dublin) is stunning with the exception of this property.

My review is based on my expectations for 3-star hotels. Carpet has a few big stains. The major reason I give a low score is because people smoked in the room. Cigarette butts and trash are hiding under the couch (I need to move around the couch to set up a baby playpen). The bathroom smells heavily smoked. During my stay, my neighbor was using something to cook coffee that released a lot of smoke. Another neighbor was sitting on the stairs smoking. The hotel pictures look much better the actual condition. Good things: - Internet is very fast, much better than most of hotels - full kitchen -the staff I talked to is pretty understanding. Originally I booked the place for 8 nights. But my baby and I really cannot stand the smoke smell in the room. I explained to her and wanted to check out earlier and get a refund. She approved without questioning anything and said she totally understood.
