SpringHill Suites by Marriott Cleveland/Solon

was a nice place for our one-night stay for a family wdding.

The hotel was clean and well appointed. The pool had quite a bit of chlorine which made everyone's eyes a bit sore, but was fun and enjoyable for our family. The breakfast was great each day, and we appreciated the free coffee, tea and cookies in the lobby.

We had to switch rooms twice because of the AC not working. Late at night with 3 kids… 3rd room was the charm I suppose. Hotel seemed outdated for the price. Bathroom had what looked like mold on the ceiling corners… Snacks were ridiculously priced. Hot tub had brown stuff floating in it. Breakfast was minimal and the seats matched. You have to ask for more towels despite putting your party size in when booking the hotel.. The staff was nice.

The hotel is in good condition and the pictures on the booking are pretty upto date. I like the trundle style couch bed vs a pull out. It's much more comfortable. The room ac have been updated to an actual wall thermostat (it did take us awhile to realize that the ac was broke. A sticker on the unit would be helpful). Pool and hot tub were nice. Room was pretty clean, not perfect. I do wish the rooms that sleep 6 were a little bigger. If it was just 2- 4 they are ok but it was pretty cramped with 5 so 6 would be hard. Breakfast was a hit with the kids too.

This hotel wasn't the worst we've stayed in but definitely was by far not the best. Our family of three stayed here to surprise my husband for a late Father's Day hiking trip. We hiked in the Cuyahoga National Forest and loved it! FYI this hotel was about a 20 minutes drive from Brandywine Falls hike and Ledges hike. Not bad at all. The positive - the room was a suite in that the bedroom and living room were separated by a wall that didn't go the entire length of the room so it wasn't a true suite. That being said, it was nice not to be crowded since the living room area was roomy. The couch in the living room area was huge and our 16-year old son didn't even had to open the sofa bed, he had plenty of room to sleep on the couch. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and wet bar area. The room was clean and we enjoyed the extra space. The front desk staff was friendly. We enjoyed the pool area and found the jacuzzi to be perfectly heated! The con's to this hotel were the breakfast which was lacking in many ways. There appeared to only be one person handling the breakfast and it wasn't well stocked and the hot food was luke warm at best. The tables were messy, the bread and pastry items were not refilled so the pickings were slim. The hot food items (scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes) were not refilled and people had to wait around. The oatmeal bar was very good. The entire breakfast area was not cleaned and was just a total disappointment.

Our family loved the room, it had two queen beds and a separate area with a sofa and a swivel TV. It was nice to have extra space to spread out and enjoy our time as a family.

We had a great stay here, came in for a long weekend for a family funeral. Met our needs and everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

Check in process was quick and easy. Staff at check in was very personable. But we booked this hotel specifically for the hot tub. At 10pm it was still filled with young children and we were unable to use it. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The room was laid out strangely and it was hard to view the tv from either the sitting area or beds.
