Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland Independence

Enjoyed our stay and the kids loved the pool!

The staff was very nice. Very helpful! But disappointed in the hotel itself. Did not have enough towels in the room for a family of four, the body wash was completely empty, no toilet paper supplied except what was on the one roll, no coffee supplies in the basket, etc.

To be honest it was an ok stay but what I was disappointed about there was no breakfast included with our stay all surrounding property’s offered this feature also no complimentary coffee only an over priced Starbucks and high priced breakfast option for a family of 5 to have to pay we went off property to have breakfast at a much lower cost I will not select this property in the future. Because of this very reason sorry!

I was on the fifth floor and there was a strong cigarette smoke coming from the hallway. I contacted the front desk and reported it. It continued into early morning. I was extremely frustrated and tried to call a second time to the front desk however my phone wouldn’t go through. Then the next morning I went to get breakfast and it didn’t start until 7 AM instead of 6 AM. So needless to say my family left without eating. The front desk clerk said that he would have the manager contact me but he never did either. I’m extremely disappointed and will not return to this Marriott.

We had a quick one night stay so we could drive into Cleveland's theatre district (less than 20 minute drive). Checked in before dinner, unfortunately didn't have time to enjoy the nice pool and hot tub but got some great restaurant advice from the nice young lady at the front desk! She even had a two-sided print-out of places nearby that indicated travel time and directions to each! We chose The Oak Barrel, excellent choice, I must say! When we got back from the show later that night we turned in around midnight. I usually make a couple bathroom trips a night but the bed was so comfy I slept SOLIDLY for almost 7 hours straight! My wife said I didn't move! The whole family agreed on the bed thing! The next morning we had a couple cups of coffee from the in-room maker- it's always nice to have that! There was also a mini fridge to keep our pops and waters cold for the trip back. There was a cool lounge area in the lobby with a TV and a few computer stations, plus, access to a printer for emergency Mapquest print-outs. This hotel should be the blueprint for all hotels! An awesome value!

My husband works in mold remediation and there was mold on the air vents in our room. The whole time we were there we were blowing our nose and our eyes were watering. There were kids in the pool area during the adults only time. Also we were charged for the room when we arrived even though we paid online. The guy working the counter was not in a good mood. We had to ask for a refund, which will take about a week.

Hotel is dated. Employees are wonderful. Shower wouldnt drain fast enough so had to stand in ankle deep water when using it. Young soccer teams in town and occupying a few rooms on our same floor. The kids were literally running and screaming in the halls unsupervised. An employee told us these teams come all the time.

The room was nice and clean. Customer service was great. Thank you for a great stay for me and my family.

I stayed at the Marriott this past weekend and as a last minute decision decided to celebrate my sons 5th birthday with some family and friends in the area. Marriott was more than accommodating in allowing us to use the pool and a conference room for cake and pizza. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. Thank you for all your help in making Aidan's 5th Bithday a success! We will definitely be staying again!!!
