Hotel Indigo Cleveland Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Easy access rooms, hotel was great for families.

This hotel was in perfect walking distance to Progressive Field. Early check in was accommodated to us, which was nice and helpful, as is valet parking. The beds were very comfortable. There was no noise from hallway or upper floors, which is a plus. On the downside the a/c was quite clanky, and the tv was not easy to use. Our only reason for potentially not choosing this property again is that the kids missed having a pool.

The bathroom was dirty and we found under garments and socks in the drawer that were not ours . When I complained to the staff they brushed it off like it was ours . Also my right year old niece came down to breakfast the last day with a water and they said she couldn’t come in because of WATER . She’s eight! So we didn’t use our vouchers be was told we could get out refunded since we would not be using our breakfast voucher for the second day . Also the reservation didn’t say the would charge up 100 dollars a day for incidentals , 45 dollars a day for parking and when I said it was for my birthday nothing was replied . I got my entire family to book this trip and similar issues were for them as well .

Our stay was fine. The only thing I was disappointed with was the soap and lotion that came in the room. I like clean with no perfumes because of allergies. The soap was in a bottle and had a very strong oder and a masculine scent. I went to eat with family and they commented on the loud masculine scent from the hand soap and lotion. I also didn’t feel comfortable washing my face with this soap for fear my face would break out because the scent was so strong.

Great stay with my kids while attending a concert at the arena across the street. Highly recommend this location due to close proximity. We could walk within 3-5 minutes to all destinations while there.

Everything was great! EXCEPT for breakfast. No one was there to get our order. Nothing for bloody Mary’s or chocolate milk. Which dosent seem like much. But two angry kids and a moody wife…. This was MISERABLE for everyone involved.

Upon entering the room my family found fecal mater in the bathroom! A dirty cleaning cloth on the fresh towels. They replaced the towels . THEN at bedtime, there were no linens or blankets for the pullout couch bed. They had non to give us !!! The night auditor had given out all spare towels , blankets and sheets !!!! No sheets , no blankets for the two of the four people staying in the room !!!! Deplorable!!!!!

Disaster from the start!!! They gave me the wrong room. I booked two queen beds for two adults and a child, they gave me one bed and a pull out couch !! To amend for the mistake they gave us 2 breakfast vouchers. There were 3 of us!! Go to pull out the bed.. no linens!!! Tried to use the breakfast vouchers in the morning at the restaurant… there was nobody to seat us.. and nobody came to the table to wait on us.. so we left!! Then the hotel charged my card an extra 100 dollars from what I was quoted!!! Never ever book here!!!

The bed was comfy, and the room was nice enough. The front desk seemed annoyed we were there. We were woken up multiple times to the overpowering smell of smoke (weed & cigarettes) five times throughout the night. I have small children and really didn’t appreciate that, it was so strong it woke them up as well. I finally messaged hotel at 4am and got no response but the smoke stopped.

I read the reviews before booking here and they were good! But I was disappointed with our stay. The best thing about the hotel is that it’s in walking distance to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. We arrived and our tissue box was empty so I looked under the counter in the bathroom before calling housekeeping and found a pair of dirty underwear! There was also small black hairs all over the bathroom floor. I told the girl at the front desk and she was very nice and apologized but the manager never contacted me. Our second night there I was woken up at 4:30am to a loud banging noise (I thought someone was banging on our door but it was next to us.) I looked out the peep hole and saw a man banging and kicking the door next to us and yelling for the girl to open the door. After about 5 minutes of this he called her and was swearing and yelling at her until she finally opened the door. You can hear everything through the walls and they were arguing and I wasn’t able to go back to sleep. Also, the bars/restaurants around the hotel are awful and had a lot of drunk people. I do not recommend this hotel (especially if you’re staying with children!)
