We stayed at the Glidden House for our trip to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We had a great visit! The staff was so courteous and kind, especially James the concierge and the breakfast crew. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. My kids really enjoyed the luxury hotel experience. The location was great too as we were able to walk to dinner. We would definitely stay again.

The staff at Glidden house made us feel like family. It is a beautiful place and comfortable to stay. Not many allergen friendly breakfast items, but lots of options for others. We have been back twice and enjoyed our stay each time.

The Glidden House is a short walk to the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Natural History Museum, and the Botanical Gardens. The neighborhood is lovely and safe for taking long walks alone. The hotel is an old mansion once owned by the Glidden family. The delicious buffet-style breakfast is served in the former library and seating is in two rooms with beautiful woodwork and beamed ceilings. The newer 3-story addition is where the majority of rooms are located. The rooms are quiet, clean, and spacious. The staff are friendly, helpful, and informative. They know the history of the mansion and the neighborhood. I found the guests to be equally friendly and would strike up conversations. A nice couple helped me navigate the layout of the breakfast buffet. At the time of my mid-week stay, the guests were primarily older, as am I. The only family that I saw was an elderly couple with their adult daughter. The staff told me that the neighborhood and the botanical gardens are especially lovely at Christmas time. I plan to stay at the hotel to experience it. The Glidden House is a lovely hotel and my stay was relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was very beautiful about the hotel . It being the Glidden family mansion was exquisite. The only complaints were. The king size bed felt for one of us was she kept on rolling downward to the middle of the bed, I felt I was mounded into a well slepped spot. There was no microwave, coffee pot was a nice addition. The 2nd floor had to go for ice machine and microwave. We were in 106 1st floor thank God. Above microwave area was Black Mold all over the Ceiling. That should be taken care of immediately. That’s a big downside. Overall was a beautiful place to stay except for what I mentioned. OH I was not happy I had to pay $10 plus Tax to park our car. The breakfast was very welcomed and the ladies setting it up were the nicest caring ladies. Excellent help, they probably aren’t paid enough, don’t loose them. They were very helpful. Thank you the Baskey Family.

Was extremely impressed with this place. This boutique hotel is the former home of the Glidden (as in paint) family and is on the National Registry of Historical Buildings. Located in the midst of the Case Western Reserve University Campus it is extremely quiet and safe. You can see campus security frequently patrolling the area. It is close to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, The Museum of Natural History, and the Cleveland History Center, and the Museum of Contemporary Arts less than a 5 minute walk to any of them. It is only a 15 minute walk to Little Italy where there are several good restaurants but being a university center you can find many different types of places to eat (sushi, vegan, burgers, etc)if Italian doesn't appeal to you. The Red Line rapid transit is also within a short walk from the place and this will take you to the downtown core where you can go to the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame Complimentary breakfast buffet is available with a wide selection of items (eggs, bacon, home fries, bread, bagels, etc) available. The also have a bar for evening cocktails or wine although it was closed while I was there due to their computer system being down after a heavy rainstorm flooded their server room. Guest room was well appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. Room service was not offered due to COVID restraints but if you needed extra towels, etc you could get them at the front desk. This place is truly a hidden gem and I would highly reccommend staying here.

I travel to Cleveland often, and I always try to stay here when I come into town. The hotel is gorgeous, (a former family mansion) the staff is friendly and very competent, and the breakfast is amazing, although it was much more lavish pre Covid.

Our family stayed here for a student event at CWRU. We really enjoyed out stay at this beautiful building. The breakfast was great and the location close to campus and museums was terrific! We just walked everywhere we needed to go. Very convenient!

We booked this hotel because it was unique and looked like it would be a peaceful place to stay. Had to drive 6 hours to be there for an appointment for our daughter at Cleveland Clinic. Desperate for a good nights rest the room above ours was being remodeled and repairs started at 6 am 3 hours after I was able to fall asleep. So much for a good nights rest while dealing with a sick child. Maybe rooms shouldn’t be booked if one’s next to them are being worked on
