UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel & Conference Center

I thought the property was very nice. It was close to most things and there were walkable options. However I would not consider this family friendly. While there is a pool available there were no pool toys available and there was no microwave in the room ( in an area where everything closes at 9 I believe giving your guest a microwave gives them the chance to warm up any drive through pick up options that might be available. Also when I chose this location it was considered family friendly and I would not say that as a mom of a 4 year old. The property was lovely and clean and the staff was really great but I needed something more family friendly. Also a bag of clothes we had in the bathroom turned up missing. While the staff did there best to help I thought the lack of urgency or follow-up was not good. I reported my items missing the moment it was noticed which was just an hr ir so after arriving back to our room and was told someone would follow up with me in the morning and that never happened. I did most of the follow up and seeking out for help on my lost items. I did fill out a claims form and was expecting a call by the time I arrived home but again like before I have yet to hear back. I think in this regard also the hotel could have a better follow up process even if you have no answers at least call and acknowledge my case and let me know next steps even if there are no clear answers.

Didn’t like the parking issues with the garage. We don’t like to let others drive our vehicle. The other issue was the prom with all the kids. They were rude to other guest trying to come into the hotel.

Everyone was very nice but check in was a little rough. I was not informed of parking and prices which was very frustrating for me b/c I ended up paying out of pocket for parking, instead of a flat rate. My room floor was a little sticky and I found a sock in my room that did not belong to me or my husband or kids.
