Myself, my husband, and four children stayed one night. I booked a room ready for 6. There were only 3 towels on arrival, and no sheets/blankets for the fold out couch. I had to call twice in order to get extra towels and only sheets for the couch bed. They finally brought them 4 hours later. No blanket given…my teenagers froze all night! The bathtub while showering wouldn’t drain. The beds were quite uncomfortable…we all woke up with back pain. Clean. Loud music/talking heard throughout the night from other rooms. We stay at Doubletrees all the time, because it is usually consistent across the board. Unfortunately, this place did not fit the bill.

The room was mostly comfortable and the hotel as a whole was clean, but the bathroom smelled like mildew, and the air was broken upon arrival with the tempature close to 80 degrees. It took complaining multiple times to get maintenance to come fix it. Was not a great situation with a toddler needing to go to bed. Nice lounge area by the pool. Bar staff was friendly and quick. Breakfast was pretty decent too. Wait staff was very accommodating.

It would have been a great stay if not for the terrible experience we had with the front desk staff named Gladys Torres. May i suggest you train her more in customer relations. She was rude to our whole family instead of providing a solution to the dilemma we encountered with our key card. We ended up leaving frustrated for our first visit to Charlotte. See how poor customer service can ruin the whole vacation. We actually love to travel as a family and we have had good experiences in different Double Tree Hotel locations. However this one was different, it was certainly unpleasant because of one person.

Tia at check in was the friendliest and sweetest soul to work with and very professional! She made check in super easy, she should be rewarded for being such a fabulous employee. We had drinks in the bar and some good appetizers before going to the Diner Detective which was awesome for the entire family! Highly recommend! The beds were very comfortable and the suite was super clean, will definitely stay here again!

Bathroom was not as I would have expected. Some garbage behind the bathroom door and shower stall was not particularly clean; found hair from previous guest. Other rooms in the suite were good. Breakfast buffet was most disappointing. $20 charge per person for a breakfast I would get free with other chains or properties with the Hilton family.

To start with , i booked a room that i didn't get. Sure I paid just like i said i would but when i asked for my I was given excuses. No apologies of course but more importantly, i booked a room with a nice view. They told me a little after 4pm when i arrived that it wasn't ready and gave me a room overlooking street traffic. Keep in mind we got this for the same price but no view. I couldn't enjoy the patio since the neighbors sat on their patio smoking the whole time. I had to keep the door closed because im not sure what they're smoking and i have children here. Unfortunately I could go on but why bother. Hope this helps someone.

Not only was my card charged twice. They checked another guest in my room as well , while me and my boyfriend was being adults… 2 young kids and an older lady…. Walked straight into our room. Today is day 4 and I’m on the phone with them trying to get a refund for the second charge I’ve received. They have literally stopped answering the phone: worst experience ever.
