The hotel is “valet only “ except for the public parking lot right in front of the entrance. The walls are very thin. We were on the 8th floor and could clearly hear every ambulance and modified car drive by. The rooms have the option to be connecting rooms but the problem with that is the baby waking up at 615am and the conversations by the family for the rest of the morning was plainly heard. The only peace we got was when the air conditioner turned on because it was so loud it drowned out all the other noises. There was an empty 4 loco bottle left in the room for us and the shower head had pink slime growing out of it. The complimentary breakfast was definitely the best part of our stay. Unfortunately that was the worst night’s sleep we’ve ever had at a hotel.

The place was a great location to walk all over town. We got in late (we had a layover in Charlotte). The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good with lots of options. They held our luggage during the next day so we could explore the city after checkout, which was great.
Our issues were that We specifically booked a hotel with a restaurant and pool. The restaurant is more of a club - people all all dressed up and the music is super loud and you would need a reservation. We were told 1.5 hour wait, at least, and we were starving at 10 pm after a day of traveling. Further, it didn’t seem like a family friendly place, more of a date spot. Additionally the pool was closed for the season.
Our stay was fine but I don’t think it is for families and as other reviews said, one elevator was broken and check in is on the 10th floor so if both were out of order, it would be very problematic. The one elevator worked great for our stay.

The hotel was clean. We got stuck on tbe broken elevators. The elevators were broke the entire weekend. I had small grandchildren and we had come down for the basketball game.

I reserved a HIGH FLOOR room on Expedia and didn’t get one. Upon checking in I was told that the high floors are not guaranteed , which I find odd since it was available online for the dates I reserved. Although we were still able to have the city view, not being able to have the high floor I was looking forward to was a HUGE disappointment as this was my little family of three’s first time taking a vacation together. So for this reason I can only give 3 stars for service…
Staff was very nice. However, there were 2 times that I was asked by staff when I checked in. The first time was the morning after checking in and the second time was that same day but around 8-9pm. They showed that my card was deactivated and it wasn’t.
Then, on Sunday after the football
Game, my card WAS deactivated for whatever reason. Quick fix, however, inconvenient. Then the elevators stopped working- first one side, then the bottoms werent working on the outside of the elevator, causing it to skip our floor, then the other side stopped working so both were not working. We were fine, a little inconvenient for a short time.

Decieved. Advertised that there is a pool. The pool was outdoors. We told the manager we only booked for the kids to swim and pool being outside we wouldn’t swim in the winter. She told us we could cancel and get refunded. When I called Expedia they said the manager would not refund. We did not end up staying as they told us we would get refunded. Would not recommend

The room was good. The service in the from desk is very good but the breakfast was simple. The banana were green dont have enough fruit, the milk was empty and dont have any muffin for kids

My family and I had a great time staying at Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown. The location and access to downtown museums and restaurants was huge advantage. The rooms are clean and spacious. We will definitely stay at Hyatt next time we visit Charlotte. Thank you, Hyatt.

From the minute you walked in you were greeted by friendly, professional staff. The check in process was a breeze. We were given a complimentary water which was great after our 4 hour ride. Our room was spotless and supplied with everything we needed. In addition to all of this, Darius that worked at the front desk went above and beyond. If I could give more than 5 stars for him I surely would. His energy, smile, personality and customer service far exceeded any I have experienced at other hotels. I would return for another stay just for him. When we arrived we were just guests, when we left we felt like family because of Darius. That man deserves a raise! All in all it was a wonderful experience.
