Hilton Charlotte Uptown

Hotel was clean and had a great location in the city. I was disappointed with the breakfast. We paid over $70 for continental breakfast that really should be included with the stay. The hotel service was amazing including the restaurant staff. There is not a pool on site. They rely on the YMCA hours- and they close early, or a planet fitness a couple blocks away. Not family friendly, and you really rely heavily on a slow elevator (only 2 seemed operational during a very busy time) We waited 10 minutes once to get on an elevator, and with kids forgetting or needing things from the room, I felt we were always waiting at the elevator. (We would have used the stairs, but I requested a high floor- so as a warning to those that also like high floors, go with a lower level for this Hotel) The room was quiet and very nice.

This is my fourth stay at the Hilton now over the years, and it's just as good as it's always been. Super convenient location to the arena and stadium downtown, which is why we were in town. Requested and received a high floor room with a great city view – the kids loved seeing all the buildings lit up. Friendly check in, good breakfast buffet (and reasonable, at $18 a person). This will continue to be my go-to in Charlotte

Definitely not happy that the hotel staff constantly asked me if I was a guest before they were willing to be helpful. People are people, and deserve respect and kindness, whether they are a paying guest or not. Also, not a family-friendly hotel.
