For one, the check in person, Friday the 24th evening, had her child with her. She was also very mechanical, little eye contact. Everything the hotel has to offer, she relayed with her head down, I guess preparing my keys. The shuttle needs to be more accommodating and the little tiny walkway to get in the shuttle, has overgrown bushes. Making the walkway extremely difficult for people with strollers and otherwise. Sheetrock patchwork exposed isn’t a great look. The elevator jumps or jolts as it stops at the floors, making you wonder if you’ll get trapped. For the money spent on the rooms you just expect better. You come to Asheville because you’re usually attending an event of some sort. I’ll be staying elsewhere with kinder, accommodating staff and shuttle service.

Very difficult to get to from the highway, but the bigger problem is parking. There is a lot next to it which belongs to a different company and they tow immediately. Supposedly that company told the hotel to notify the customers or put a sign in the hotel to warn people about it but nothing has been done. Imagine a mother coming with a small child at night in the dark, parking there, and then having no car in the morning because it was towed. Towing company said that it’s a normal occurrence a few times a week. Many of other places to stay in Asheville that are much better so if you can avoid this one, please do.

The hotel itself was great. There were some patrons that had small children who were allowed to run up and down the corridor

First time at this brand hotel. We were very happy with our stay. Excellent price for the accommodations. The only thing that was inconvenient was there is only one elevator (we were on the 4th (top) floor), and there were only 5 bellman carts available at any time. The busload of school kids made breakfast hectic, but not the fault of management. We will look in to using this chain again.

King room was perfect for us and our two young kids who slept on the pullout sofa. I would not recommend the sofa for adults though based on the uncomfortable mattress. The pool was in excellent condition and at just the right temperature. Breakfast was very good and the attendants very nice and helpful. Plenty of parking. We did not walk downtown since we would have walked next to the highway but they do have a shuttle and it’s a quick drive. Would stay here again!

Terrible experience! They gave our room away because they were over booked. Checked in at 7 pm after a long, cold day at Biltmore in hopes of a hot shower and a warm place to sleep. Only to be told we had to have one of our 3 family members put in a different room. They acted like they were doing us a favor by not charging for the 2nd room. Wow! We left for dinner and came back before checking our rooms. The problems only became worse as we got to the rooms. The shower floors were disqustingly fifilthy. Called the front desk and they sent somone, not a cleaner in to our room until 10:30 pm to clean them. We heard how they were short staffed and how someone had sealed the walk in shower before cleaning it. This was months of built up filth! She said they were sold out and didn't have the staff to clean correctly. She was nice but could not get it clean and said she didnt want to inconvenience us any more as it was late. She left half of it filthy. We had to put towels down in the shower floor just to take a shower. The towels after taking a shower were brown from cleaner and funk. By 11 pm we finally managed showers and went to turn the bed down. There were 2 brown watery looking stains in the sheets! They sent 2 people this time to change them and make sure they were changed after the last guest. We heard the excuse they just had a large group of boys right before us who are just messy. What?? Not enough parking here so you have to park in the shopping center next door.
