Holiday Inn Express & Suites Historic, an IHG Hotel

Room was nice, but was woken up at 4 by a child running back and forth up stairs. Not sure what can done about the thinness of the floors.

We were staying here for 4 nights with our 12 years old daughter. Everything was going well until our 3rd night we smell very strong smell of Marijuana coming from the room next to us, with loud noise and teenagers trying to get into our room through connecting doors. We went to the reception and complained multiple times together with another family from the 2nd floor with same issue. Receptionist told us that she will have security go to the rooms and she will informed us of the solution. We waited and we never received call nor she talk to my husband when he went to ask what will be next and what solution management came up with. We were ignored for the rest of our stay. Came out to find out that the teenagers were track team members. We were very disappointed with ignorance we were treated and with no concern what's ever about Marijuana being used by teenagers on hotel property !!! We will NOT stay there ever again !

Our stay could have been so much better, we booked the property based on it had nice indoor pool because we have 2 children, but the pool was green, cloudy & so strong with chemicals the boys couldn’t get in. Then we were give a handicap room that we didn’t ask for and the shower was the worst I’ve ever been in. The shower head wouldn’t stay hung up, the water had 2 temps burn you or freezing & we had no shower curtain. Otherwise staff was very friendly, great breakfast bar, comfortable beds and it was quiet.

It was terrible. The toilet in our room was plugged. We called and asked that the problem be resolved. A young girl from the Front Desk was sent up to take care of the problem. She couldn’t do anything to resolve the issue. My family was told that we couldn’t be moved to another room, and we could use public restrooms located on different floors. Couldn’t take showers in the morning because we were afraid the toilets might overflow. I asked for a refund but the manager wouldn’t consider it. I guess it’s all about making money and not about making sure customers are satisfied with their stay. I would not recommend staying at this hotel unless you’re ok with running up and down the corridors to get to a restroom.

After a long drive from Scottsdale I contacted property to confirm pool is heated the manager stated it is heated… we arrive and take the boys to swim and it’s not heated.. I spoke to the manager she said it’s odd and suggested I take my 8 & 11 year olds out to another sister property in 30 degree temperature to swim this is low and dirty yo get the business I could’ve stayed at another location so my grandkids could’ve went swimming and relaxed from that long drive

We were told 2 cribs would be available and waiting in our room. We only got 1 and a pack-n-play. The sheets and blankets for the babies were torn and stained. We ended up using our own sheets we brought from home. One agent we spoke to was a little frustrated this happened. We were also told the pool was heated. We tried it twice on 2 separate days and it was ice cold. All in all it was ok.

The hotel was convenient to my family's home, Old Town Albuquerque and gas and food.

Great for our family’s needs, and the separate living room in the suite made it seem more spacious.

Overall hotel is nice, we had family of 6, were able to stay in one room, room was clean & spacious. Hotel was short staffed, trash full in breakfast area but bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was ok. Had variety. Stayed one day.

The staff was helpful and courteous and the room was spacious for our family of four. There were food options nearby as well.
