Chauncey Hotel & Conference Center

It was a beautiful experience and the staff was sweet. One was a bit standoffish but they weren't rude. The hotel was so pretty and the pool was clean and warm which was great with the kids.

The Chauncey was beautiful and the staff was so friendly. We had a wonderful family stay.

Staff is amazing, especially Jocelyn at the front desk who checked us in. Public spaces are very nice with lots of natural light. Breakfast was a nice touch. The grounds are very nice! BUT the actual rooms are worn out: carpets, furniture, beds, plumbing, etc. There were no sheers on the windows. The room needed a deep clean. Corners, under the bed, baseboards were all disgusting and dirty. We put up our kids there back in June and noted the same for the room they were in—it was worn out! These rooms need a refresh.

This is a great place to come if you are planning on staying a few days. It is on a beautiful piece of property, with sweeping lawns and fountains and ponds. It is owned by the Educational Testing Center, and is a bit of a drive from downtown, although a few miles from Princeton University. It has a full breakfast buffet and a nice bar area with cold foods in the evening. The rooms look out on the lawns and have doors to walk outside. The rooms are not luxurious but comfortable, very clean and with the basics. It looks like ETS uses it for trainings, as it has several buildings and in places kind of resembles a college campus. It would be a perfect place for a retreat, multiple-day training, wedding or family reunion. If you are planning on being in Princeton for a few days and have a car to get around, it is the perfect getaway.

Good Amenities. For a conference center the Wifi was inadequate. Low reception in the room. Difficulties connecting in the area of good reception. Noise from other rooms is a problem. I woke up at 6:45am on a Saturday by a screaming toddler having a tantrum. Good breakfast buffet, but I would rather have a better rate and no breakfast.
