Our stay at the Wave Resort was great. It felt like we were in Miami but with a more family-friendly atmosphere, which was perfect since we were traveling with a baby. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. The pool was warm enough for us to enjoy with the baby, even though it was a chilly and windy day.
While the beach chairs and umbrella service were convenient, we were disappointed by the lack of privacy. Other people, not associated with the Wave Resort, were sitting in the designated area, blasting music, and setting up their own umbrellas. If this is not allowed, it should be more strictly enforced.
Additionally, on the day of checkout, none of the valet attendants knew how to drive a manual transmission car, so my husband had to retrieve the car himself. Given this inconvenience, we believe a partial refund of the valet service fee would be appropriate.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope these issues can be addressed to improve the experience for future guests.

Front desk staff was fantastic. Megan and Taylor were wonderful. The kids that worked in the coffee shop were also great major problem parking the hotel has a huge parking area right across the street except they charge $58 a day to park if you’re a guest I think that’s absolutely ridiculous especially if you’re a guest, there’s a parking garage on the other side of the street that charges $20 a day. I feel if you were a guest of a hotel the least they can do is allow you to park especially when the parking area is absolutely huge very disappointed in the parking situation .

First time at Wave Resort, this is one of the new resorts. My family and I love the spacious rooms, cleanliness and the staff were very friendly. I definitely recommend a stay here.

I spent $ 850.00 for one night. $ 55.00 for parking one night. This place is not a resort.
Tiny pool, filled with kids, the "gym" is the size of a closet with 4 machines. No services at all. When I asked for a late checkout 12pm instead of 11am they said no. Rude staff, place is a total rip off. Don't stay here.

To give example I went down to beach and the nice kid stuck the large umbrella in sand for me. 5 min later some wind came and the umbrella took off and hit another couple downwind. Kid comes back and apologies and sticks the umbrellla in the sand again. Obviously they need the umbrellas with weighted platform like every other beach.
They have kids at the pool serving food who they obviously don’t trust so there is one person to manage credit card and one to serve food. It took 30 min to process a transaction.
The restaurants are overpriced and run by folks with little experience. Small portions and not very good.
Coffee shop same thing. Coffee is terrible and about $5 per cup. 24 hr 7-11 has better food and coffee.
Then they nickel and dime you. 10:50a on check out day the keycard turns off and somebody knocking on your door to check out.
Parking valet is $50 but then if you get there after 11p it’s do it yourself.
In back of hotel walking to the beach there is a road that looks like it is crossable to the beach but bikers come flying through there. My 8 yo was almost hit by a biker. Hotel manager said it’s a city street they can’t prevent it. Like I said, amateur. They can put signs and cones up with this warning.
Room doors have a nice lock and bracelet to open them. When they work. Mine worked 1:3 times and had to keep going down to desk and get someone to open it.
Hotel is only a few years old but paint is peeling on walls. Our faucet in bathroom wa ls

Hi- During our check in
We requested for a room with bath tub as we were traveling with an infant and was assured at hotel desk they were able to upgrade our room with a bathtub but when we checked in that was not the case we still had shower room since we already opened our baggage we asked front desk to change our rooms the next morning
the same night we realised the heat thermostat was broken and the room temps reached to 78 our baby was so fussy because of that we had to open the door every hour for the room to cool down
Even the hotel was not clean at all I could see spider webs at the corners of the bed in our rooms
Also the stay wasn’t relaxing at all. The hotel staff and spa staff at this hotel were a mess I was taken back and forth for reserving the spa for both the days during my stay but couldn’t even book a single time slot even at the day of checkout.
The website showed no slots available the hotel desk said keep on monitoring it shows up and is not consistent sometimes the spa staff will be able to accommodate if you stop by at wave spa
The spa staff asked me to use nearby hotel called ocean resort and spa services as Wave resort had a small space and not enough staff to take care of our request.
Why would I pay the resort fee if the pool is closed for winter and spa is running low on staff and suggesting me to use another hotel for spa services
This hotel or resort does not live up the expectations. Highly disappointed.

The stay was great. We went the wknd after kids go back to school so place was quiet other than weddings. Pool was nice and restaurants were good enough.
My only complaint is the $55 valet parking as the only option. Not until my last day did i notice that there was a self park garage (at Pier Village) only 1 block away for only $25 per day.

Needs to improve customer service. Restaurants in the hotel needs menu improvment as well. The receptionist not too welcoming. Few more bikes will be a plus( not only two that the hotel has now). To loud many childrens. Pool very small and cold.
