Courtyard by Marriott West Orange

Great place for family gatherings the pool was great and clean

Was in town for a family event. Staff was amazing and even had a room ready to check in early when we had been traveling all night. Great friendly staff and very clean! Great location, close to many restaurants and stores. Thanks for the great hospitality!

Convenient if you need to run for groceries, coffee and be close to major highways. Property seems average, with some broken/loose light fixtures. Needs updating bathrooms/carpeting (smelled a bit damp). Not much to complain if on an overnight trip, solo/business. Trouble if you are put in a room next to parents with children. Bit noisy. Nothing spectacular. Went on a business conference on another Marriott property nearby (did not stay), Residence Inn (more expensive had I stayed there) it did not feel that much better either. Marriott is dropping the ball.

My daughter and I checked into this hotel last night. We experienced a devastating fire in our home and our church family assisted in providing us with this place to rest our heads. When we woke up today we learned that 15 guests, and ourselves were the victim of our cars being broke into and our property stolen. Everything that we had left in this world was stolen. No shoes, clothing, wallets, Everything. The sad thing is that the hotel's cameras weren't working, and of course they're not liable for theft of vehicles and other things. West orange police arrived and were great and assisted as best they can. However, there was no manager for Marriott on site, and not a representative for Marriott showed up. It appears that this was an inside job. The thrives broke into cars right in front of the front door. This place is not safe,and offered no assistance at all. With the exception of providing plastic bags for the guests broken car windows. Oh, and the tape. This is scary. Imagine leaving your rooms and these same thieves getting in, or while you're there. Again this place is not safe!!!!

My stay was phenomenal exactly what I needed from the great service at check in to checking out Mike and Josette made me feel right at home the dining experience was very tasteful I enjoyed the food as well very easy and convenient didn’t have to go out for food and yes I would definitely continue to recommend family and friends thanks for the hospitality.

The check in was great angel did a wonderful job I was very pleased and would definitely recommend friends and family to come stay here especially if you want to feel at home because that’s how I feel always a pleasure

The overall stay was exceptionally great the staff at the front desk were great with all that I needed them to assist me with Anetra ,Angel ,Deena and jazzet not quite sure of the spelling of their names but they made me feel at home their hospitality was excellent for my stay I will definitely continue to stay at this location more often when I come in town and recommend my family and friends to this location thank you for hiring such a great group of wonderful women who work great together to accommodate my stay .

I live in West orange NJ and lost power and my family, and I spent the night at the Courtyard Marriott. Very nice hotel with a nice, heated pool and a fitness center. Very clean establishment and the front desk customer service was absolutely AMAZING.

Visiting family in the area and the close proximity was great. Next time in town we will stay again.

Everyone was nice the place was clean, the area was good, the pool was small but maintained and there was not a lot of people using it while we were there so the kids had a great time. The only negative thing would be that the bed was not as comfortable as other hotels I have stayed at.
