Cambria Hotel West Orange

I loved that they allowed me to check in early without an additional fee. Very friendly staff and beautiful lobby. Didn’t like the pool hours and it closed early and my kids were very sad that they couldn’t swim.

Easy access off highway. Ample parking. Food at bar was great. The only negative (and the hotel couldnt control this) was that there seemed to be quite a few large groups with children. Our first evening there, the pool was taken over by several kids and their adults. That night, the room above us had kids running around till well after midnight. I get it, it's summer and families travel. I just wish that they would control their kids. Overall I'd definitely stay here again but I would ask for a room on the top floor.

Where do I begin? So, I scheduled housekeeping through the app as they requested; however, I was still waiting for someone to come. I called the front desk, and they advised me they would forward the message to housekeeping. Again, no one ever responded. Finally, I had to go downstairs to the front desk and inform them we had no clean towels in our room. 3 hrs later, we got some towels. Housekeeping came to clean our room the following day and left the soiled towels and linen from our bed in the hallway outside of the room. The dirty laundry remained outside of our room for three days straight. I took photographs each day, which are displayed below. We had family visit us at the hotel, and I was embarrassed. The employee was walking down the hallway on her phone, obviously a personal call on speakerphone loudly. Lastly, for the most part, the hotel staff was ok. However, the woman who worked the day shift never greeted my wife and me during our stay. We travel several times a month for business; this is the first time I have experienced such a thing. You couldn’t pay me to come back to this hotel. Shoutout to Ms. Tawana! She was the lone shining star during our stay. Wonderful spirit.

It was an amazing stay for my family and I

Our reservation was canceled without our knowledge. Nobody from Orbitz called us to inform this reservation was going to be canceled. Orbitz was not able to get us another hotel because everything was booked per Ramon the an assistant manager . Seon helped us book a room at this hotel Bent over backwards to help us. Helped us relieve our stress being that we were traveling with our kids and had no where to stay.

Third time I've stayed here. It's convenient to family, like the room set-up and it is clean and comfortable. Staff was not as friendly and accommodating as my past experience

My baby was so dissatisfied and unhappy a waste of her birthday weekend. she said this was the worst birthday and cried her eyes out. Everything was just wrong on so many levels it seem like after i checked in everything just flopped

I booked the hotel and paid a higher rate than other hotels in the area because I wanted my children to have access to the pool. When I arrived, I inquired about pool hours and clerk stated that it was closed. Once in the room, I observed food crumbs on the couch and under it. I attempted to take a shower shortly after and there was no water pressure at all. As we returned to the room after the water park, as I lifted the covers there was no comforter, instead two bed sheets with a cotton throw in the middle. Lastly, the next morning when I attempted to order breakfast at approx 7:30 am, I was informed after a 10 mins wait that the chef hasn’t shown up to work yet. I checked several times and he came in at almost 10 at which point I was advised that breakfast timeframe has closed but they will allow me to place an order.

I've stayed here before and would again since it meets my needs when visiting family. The only thing I would have liked is for them to have posted a message saying the bar/restaurant area would be closed for Easter.

I dont usually write reviews but The staff went out of their way to be helpful so I they deserve it. I have small children and Michael who works at nice tried to accommodate my family’s request and the same was true of the morning staff. They are putting the hospitality back into hotels.
