Holiday Inn Express & Suites Absecon-Atlantic City, an IHG Hotel

A hotel with great facilities for staying with family.

At check-in I was not informed that my room was not what I booked. I got a king bed and a pull-out couch, I booked 2 queen size beds as I was traveling with my two children. I return to the front desk to report what must have been a mistake, the employee at the front desk said "well that's all we have". I'm wondering why it would allow me to reserve one type of room if it wasn't available. I was told "all I can do is offer you a full refund for the room" implying I would get a refund but I cannot stay at the hotel. I had no choice but to take this room, it was very uncomfortable for three people to sleep in one bed. The A/C in the room barely worked, trying to sleep was very uncomfortable could not sleep with any covers on. The towels had hair in it from previous guests. Drinking cups looked as if they were used and put back into the plastic coverings. The pool and pool sitting area is not clean. The hot tub had a greasy oily film on the surface of the water. The shower in the pool area barely worked spraying and leaking all over the place, just a big mess. There was trash in the hallways from other guests and was still there the next morning on checkout. Hotel description stated Continental breakfast starting at 6:30 a.m. we were checking out at around 6:45 a.m. and nothing was even being set up for breakfast, there was no one to be found around at all. I had no choice but to purchase breakfast outside on the go. Overall, just disappointed.

Hotel was the cleanest I have ever been in. Staff was amazing. Food was great. Pool and hot tub was the best especially for the kiddos. Planing to go again very soon.

Front desk gentlemen was personable and friendly! Pool was great, room was actually fantastic for the family, breakfast was on point, hot tub was cold was the only complaint.

Room was clean. Pool was nice but not as heated as I thought. Stayed with husband and kids. 15 minutes from the boardwalk only. Nice stay.

Loveeeeeeeee it here family friendly

For the price, I was disappointed. I was traveling with my two daughters (one a teen and one an adult), so we got a king suite with a sofa bed. We had to make up the sofa bed ourselves and it was very uncomfortable. Some of the equipment in the gym had rusty parts and couldn’t be adjusted as it was meant to be able to do. Kids were running in the halls at all hours. We chose this hotel over others for the pool and hot tub, but using them was an unpleasant experience. The pool and hot tub had far too many people in them, and the pool and hot tub room was almost unbearably noisy…there should be a limit to the number of people in there at once. Kids were playing in the hot tub as if it were a pool…kids should just not be allowed in the hot tub. There was no hot water for tea in the morning because the hot water carafe was broken. The woman putting out the breakfast food didn’t understand English and couldn’t answer any questions. The king size bed was comfortable and the room was clean. But I will not book this hotel again. If I paid half the price it would be acceptable, but for $800 for two nights, it was not acceptable.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. However, there were children running and talking in the halls and doors opening and closing until 1 am. The air conditioning unit was very loud and didn’t work properly. The walls are very thin and you could hear the tv and the blow dryer from the neighboring rooms.

Exceptional experience, the staff is so professional and helpful, the cleanliness throughout the hotel, will come again and will recommend this hotel to family/friends

The only problem is that uneducated and disrespectful families in the pool area cannot protect their children. Many families with children and their children are disturbing, which should not be the case.
