Best Western Plus Sparks-Reno Hotel

When I arrived for check in I was literally by the shuttle driver and two children. Reception staff were doing who knows what. The young girl was answering the phone and putting people on hold. Shuttle driver was wondering around unable to locate reception staff. It was a very unprofessional situation for the hotel

Great family room

Newly renovated, clean, good for families, good options for breakfast, location outside of Reno in industrial area but just hop on the freeway and you are in downtown in minutes.

This hotel was great! The breakfast was delicious. The staff was super friendly and the hotel was very clean. Also, we asked for a rollaway bed and they had one available and had it to our room in just minutes after getting to our room. I stayed with my husband and 5 kids and the Double Queen suite was perfect for us.

Room was very spacious and nice. Front desk person was nice and professional that checked me in. Person in morning was very friendly and professional. Only downside and no fault of hotel was the family that let their kid run up and down hallway at 10 pm. I’m sure to help tire the kid out but was trying to sleep after all day of driving and wanted to get up and started early next day. Hallways were loud. Again no fault of hotel but disrespectful people. I made sure not to “slam” my door for others but the same can not be said of them.

Stayed for 4 nights at the end of July for a family reunion. We opted for a suite on the top floor which was very spacious and had plenty of room to spread out. The room seemed like it was recently updated and overall we felt very comfortable in our room. We have two small complaints about our bathroom. For a bathroom it was incredibly large however there was only one bar to hang towels. For even just 2 people, this was not enough. Just one more hook would have been preferred rather than having 2-3 used towels bunched up on one bar. Also, the enclosed glass shower had an issue staying shut once you were in it. It would roll open half an inch or so after closing it so water would continually get out when you were showering with the gap. Breakfast was only okay. We've had better hotel breakfasts. Here it consisted of all the breads you can eat, yogurt, cereal, coffee and juice. If you wanted eggs and bacon, an employee had to go behind a partition and bring it out for you. It took us a bit to figure this out. We did not get house keeping service during our entire stay. The first day we thought it was because we had the do not disturb sign on until about 10:30am but when they didn't come the second, third, or 4th day, we did not understand why. Yes, we could have called and requested it but we were unclear why housekeeping did not come of their own accord.
