DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest

Hotels.com advertises a room with 2 queens for my family when that’s not actually available. I was due to arrive at midnight with my family and confirmed with the hotel directly. Arrived in a rainstorm at midnight and the had good Ben my room away without another room for 100 miles

Clean, safe. Shower was tricky to shut off and on and no shower curtain liner. Great for pets and kids. Close to lots of dining.

The overall stay was enjoyable as expected, and despite being surrounding by hundreds of kids because of a sporting event, I slept comfortably and peacefully. The only small hiccup to my stay was there were two sets of items belonging to the guest who stayed in the same room that were not removed. There was a moment that I thought maybe I had entered into someone else’s room.

No one in the hotel industry should put a guest in our room. Next door to not only the side exit that went to the parking lot, but also the main entrance to the offices and the pool. All night doors were slamming, people were yelling, and the kids obviously didn't have to obey the pool hours. No sleep and we checked in after midnight due to airline delay. No happy at all with this hotel, the undersized bathroom with a very slipper shower floor and nasty smell throughout. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to try to get a good night's sleep in this place. It is the worst Doubletree I have ever visited.

We had items stolen from our room. Earrings from an earrings/necklace set. My daughter feels quite violated that someone went through her things. I also was resting in bed one morning while my family had left…a maid let herself in (even though we had the privacy please sign up)…came in and flushed the toilet and left. I chalked it up to a weird happening, but now have it figured out what was going on. Otherwise nice place, good price and great restaurant staff. I’ve called the manager and are awaiting their follow up Monday.

This is the third time in three years that we have stayed at this property; the first two years were great, but this year, it was something completely different. The condition of the rooms has deteriorated, and the overall cleanliness of the property is poor. We were there for four nights and we had purple glitter pieces - the size of pennies - that never got vaccumed up. the tiled areas were dirty as well. The worst problem, however, was Saturday night. We were staying on the fifth floor and we came back from a wedding to the stench of marijuana in the hallway. I mean, a monumental amount. My wife is allergic, and so I went down to the front desk to notify the night manager of the situation. He was humbled, and very nice about it, but he said that he had gone up twice already to find the room where the smoke was coming from. He offered to move us, but it was already 11 p.m. and we were checking out early Sunday morning. We are unsure if we will continue to stay at this property when visiting family and friends in Omaha in the future.

The first room I was in smelled so strongly of DOG URINE my child woke up with hives from this. Second room wasn't bad until the last night of our stay and the smoke detector went off at 3:30 am waking up myself, boyfriend and our 1 year old. I requested a refund and was told they could off me free breakfast for the day I left! I was on my way home from this vacation no I do not want a free breakfast ticket. I would have much rather a refund due to the fact. I would not recommend.

I got the king suite and was disappointed with the condition. The chair next to the couch was covered in mysterious white stains. Gross. The curtains were the same way. The bedding was fine. The bathroom door didn't have a way to stay closed. Overall disappointed since I paid extra to have a nice room with my family.

Great location for connecting with family events.

I loved the burger and chatting with staff while I ate late at night. The bed was super comfortable. I slept without noise like a baby. I had driven a long way, and had to get up and drive again. I will ALWAYS stay at a HILTON :)
