Holiday Inn Express And Suites Omaha Downtown - Airport, an IHG Hotel

We had a TERRIBLE experience. This hotel is NOT at Old Market. It is more than a mile away from the closest point of Old Market. Parking was horrible. The neighborhood is at best transitional. No security at the hotel. There was a fight in the hallway outside of our rooms. A PHYSICAL FIGHT. When my daughter called the desk they said the police are on their way. I booked two rooms, 4 people parents and children. Our rooms had three towels. Three. They were understaffed. This hotel experience was horrible. I will never stay there again. I paid almost $1,000 for two nights, two rooms for a family zoo trip and. They say there is shuttle service. We tried to utilize the shuttle and even that was a mess. There was confusion about our pick up. Three times. We kept hearing ‘they’re in the way - they’ll be there in 10-15 minutes’. 45 minutes later we were ordering Ubers. The shuttle drivers blamed each other, the clerk blamed the drivers. Meanwhile we had FOUR tired children waiting in the sun for 45 minutes. There seems to be a lot of deferred maintenance at the property. The outlets in our rooms didn’t even work. Top to bottom, do not recommend.

We didn't like the area. It seemed really slumy to us. We also didn't know we would have to pay for parking which was very upsetting for my hu8sband. He really did not like that and honestly not impressed with a business that cannot provide parking to accommodate guests. Shower pressure was horrible. We have a rural residence with better water pressure than what we had at the hotel. The pool was clean but I thought the water smelled funny. It was annoying have to track down someone to know what the code was for the bathrooms. I have an infant and a toddler and it was really inconvenient. Also it was nice having the breakfast added in but we were a family of 5 and there were only seating for couples and it was so busy we had to wait several times to even find a place to settle to eat. Definitely not a family friendly hotel.

It was centrally located, but the area around the property did not seem family friendly.

Front desk was extremely nice and helpful when my card decided it would not work. She had patience while I got it situated after an already long and frustrating day with car issues. Room is spacious enough for our family and clean.

The staff was very nice and the hotel was very clean. A few things we didn’t like was the $15 parking fee and once you pay the $15 your not guaranteed a spot incase you gotta go get some food. The toilet seat in a our was broken & some USB wall ports were broken too. We woke up early in the morning to some noisy kids running up the hallway and jumping inside their rooms or something 😡 The beds were very comfortable slept very well 😊

Be prepared to pay at least $15 for parking, this hotel is downtown so not the nicest area, do not recommend for a family. The room was nice and bed was comfortable but wasn’t in the best part of town.

Very nice hotel, have to pay for parking. Nice front desk lady, amenities great, clean, traveled with small children.

Overall it was a good stay. Be prepared to pay for parking on top of your hotel stay though, that would be the major downside. Staff was friendly and breakfast was average for the contintetal breakfast. The location was perfect for our family though because it was close enough to people we were visiting and activities like the zoo, luminarium etc

Grandkids were unable to use the pool. Another guest or their child had pooped in it. When staff were told they stood around talking and no one addressed the problem. We went back to our room.
