Clean and convenient location with modern amenities. We stayed with our children for the weekend while visiting the Omaha zoo. Hotel was lovely inside, neighborhood very busy but security at the hotel felt very safe. Breakfast was nice to have on sight and included in stay. Parking wasn’t included but additional cost and garage was adequate. Pool small but clean with decent upkeep

This hotel was awesome for our short 2 day family trip. It was clean, right in the heart of the Old Market, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! The only down side was the bed was a bit uncomfortable for us but that isn't anyone’s fault. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Omaha!

Nice hotel, kids friendly, and close to everything. Only down sides was staff was hit or miss as far as helpful, and rooms use the motion sensors that click constantly and turn air of as you sleep

I've never stayed at this hotel before and i'm glad I did.
The hotel is nicely located int he heart of downtown Old Market. It does have a parking garage which is one of the main reasons why I chose Hyatt Place. If you have a bigger full-size truck, you will find the parking garage difficult to maneuver through. I have a new Silverado 1500 and I had to carefully watch when entering and exiting by the gate.
The check in process was very easy as there seemed to be an employee behind the desk at all times I walked by. The front entrance is only accessible with a keycard which I liked. However, there is a button to ring the front desk if you are there to check in.
My family and I stayed in a king suite which had 1 king bed and a pull out sofa bed couch. The room was nice sized and included a microwave and mini fridge.
The thermostat in the room only had temperature control and fan speed. Didn't have A/C or heat as a function. Had it set on 79 degrees to be comfortable as it was below freezing during our stay.
A huge downside to the room was the door to the bathroom. It was a frosted glass door and the lock was always difficult to lock. If someone got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, it would light up the whole room as the door was basically see through.
The free breakfast was ok. It had a toaster for bread. No waffle maker. The milk was barely cool enough to drink or use in the cereal.

I enjoyed my stay. I was not crazy about the bathroom door being glass (not so private) and the lock would not lock. My sons and their families were there too, so I had grand kids visit quite often. The staff were very nice. However they charged me for parking I did NOT have a car.

Overall our stay was fine, nothing great but also not horrible.
Pros:
Friendly staff
Convenient parking
Breakfast was decent
Cons:
Had to request infant crib twice before it was brought to our room
Pool was disgusting, smelled horrible and the bottom of the pool was slimy
Shower drain cover was loose
Coffee at breakfast was terrible

This hotel is a great facility in a wonderful location. The staff were fabulous, and greeted us warmly. The free breakfast was also a nice perk. The location is extremely walkable to many features of the Old Market, and we appreciated the secure overnight parking.
Our only concern was the pool lights. We were told that the pool lights would "turn off" at 10pm when the pool closed. My husband was with our children in the pool and the lights turned off, as they said it would. However, the pool was COMPLETE DARKNESS. There were about 15 teen girls in the pool who began shrieking loudly, and it was chaos. There were no emergency lights on, and it felt like a huge liability with all those bodies in the pool, no lights, water everywhere on the floors, etc. If you swim in the pool and don't want to get caught in complete darkness, get out by 10pm! I would suggest the hotel come up with another way to manage the pool area, because this could cause a lawsuit some day.
Otherwise, a wonderful stay and a wonderful location. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay. The staff are very friendly, the location is excellent (walkable to Old Market dining and shopping and to the RiverFront and Gene Leahy Mall areas), and the rooms are comfortable.
During this stay, the pool was closed for maintenance. We had six kids between two rooms who were so disappointed, as that was part of the reason we booked this hotel for my son’s birthday. Also, one of the two elevators was apparently broken, so we often waited 5 minutes for it. We were on the seventh floor, so it wasn’t feasible to use the stairs every time.
We’d probably stay here again, but certainly experienced some disappointment, mostly because of the pool.
