SureStay Hotel by Best Western Meridian

When I arrived at the property to check in. The staff at the desk gave me the key to my room and said, "I hope you are ok with a smoking room"."We don't have any non smoking rooms left". I honestly did not look at the fine print until after I checked in, but the description I received did not mention the room as smoking. It specifically said, "Designated smoking areas." As I was leaving the office area, I noticed a family entering and they looked distressed. I went to my room abd it reejed of cigarette smoke, and the skunky odor of marijuana. I had made up my mind that I was staying because there were few rooms available locally, and I sprayed the room the best I could with Febreeze. After which, I went and talked with the family that walked into the office after me, they had the same problem and talked the desk staff into a refund for the room.This was misrepresentation #1. Misrepresentation #2 is that under amenities, its states that the rooms had been soundproofed. I believe that is a blatant lie. The facility is a motor lodge with room doors adjacent to the parking lot. My room door shown light around 3 edges of the door. Misrepresentation #3. The staff said no non smoking rooms were available. There was a listing on Expedia after all the previous events. I would gladly speak with anyone from Expedia or Best Western regarding this stay if they are interested. I have screenshots, and pictures of other problems in the room.

Stayed here overnight on way to Waveland and wish we stayed somewhere else. Service was friendly. Some family members were asked if they needed service for the night from girls in the parking lot, doors slamming all night, people arguing at 4 am over money they "earned". To top it off the morning we were checking out, a BED BUG was crawling on the wall. We immediately changed clothes and left.
