Rooms clean and have small microwave & fridge which is a plus. Breakfast is $16 so if you have children not convenient. Overall decent

I always appreciate the hotel lounges at Hilton. The food is good, the drinks are reasonable, and I don't have to drive anywhere after a long day of driving. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the rooms are always good. I am not personally a fan of the free breakfasts. Most of them are not very good. I understand if you have a family. I would rather have the lounge. You will definitely need that if you have a family. :)

I would like to state that this has been the WORST experience that I have had traveling with my fur baby. When I travel, I always, go out of my way to try to find the best place to stay with my baby. There was a worker there that Definitely needs to find himself another place to work or maybe he was just having a bad day. Whatever, the case maybe, he made us feel as if we were Not in a pet “friendly” establishment. Needless to say, this I have stayed at other Hilton Garden Inns that have been excellent just not this one.

Traveling from Illinois and I had looked at another hotel in Meridian and comparing the two. I ended up choosing the Hilton since their pool was located inside and the other was outside. Figured that was a better fit for the children to swim in. We have arranged to arrive shortly after check-in to have an enjoying, relaxing time at the pool and be prepared for another day of travel and was disappointed when we arrived at the pool doors and saw that it was closed. Not sure if this is a COVID thing or not but that would be a great thing to communicate on website so that guests are not expecting to have access to the area.

We stayed in a suite with a separate bedroom and sofa bed in the living room. The doors separating the two are not solid, but have louvres so more like doors opening to another space and not so much for privacy between rooms. , but better than a curtain or nothing. We booked for a suite and also for the whirlpool to ease sore muscles from road travel. The whirlpool was cold. This was brought to the attention of the front desk clerk (who was the fastest ever to check us in and very friendly) and he told us that "someone had complained it was too hot so Hilton came in and adjusted it down" and now they cannot touch it. Anyway, do not expect a hot jacuzzi here! Most disappointing, however, was expecting a nice shower upon arrival (prior to the cold tub) and finding someone else's toiletries in the shower and trash in the trash can, no large towels either. It appeared as if the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. This was also brought to the attention of the front desk. I did not expect this at a Hilton, even an older Garden Inn. Breakfast is $$ so I'd recommend finding another place in Meridian if you want free breakfast and a hot tub. Otherwise it was comfortable and the mattress on the sofa bed is thick and comfy compared to some I've seen. There are also two bathrooms, so each space has its own, which may be nice for families.
