Best Western Harbour Pointe Lakefront

The cutest hotel with a family vibe and great views. The staff are very nice, the smores at night are a great touch. Loved everything from breakfast to the pool.

Wonderful hotel. Check in was a breeze. The staff at the front desk was friendly and always had a smile on their face (even with my million questions). Our room was in the Huron building. We loved this location - close to the pool, bonfire, Lakeview. Room was clean. We didnt use daily housekeeping but made sure to get towels daily. Outdoor pool and jacuzzi was clean and kids loved it. Pool towels were provided at the pool. Breakfast was your standard food, but always hot and available till 10am. Ferry is close too..restaurants are right there, walking distance. Will definitely be back!

Great place to start in St. Ignace. Waterfront property, breakfast everyday, bonfires every night. The staff was amazing. My room was a little dated, and the mattress not the most comfortable. Having said that, I would definitely stay here again. This place is great for families, girl trips, large or small groups.

This Best Western was just charming! We were amazed with the waterfront and delighted to have s'mores in the evening we arrived! Tons of space for the family. Great beds and pillows.

Great family location on the lake with large rooms and hot breakfast with lots of options.

Staff was amazing..so friendly and helpful. An older gentlemen runs a golf cart between buildings to take folks around the large complex. This was especially helpful on a day where it was pouring down rain after we finished our breakfast. Breakfast was substantial with different egg and meat choices for each of the 3 mornings that we were there. They had a bonfire with smores every evening. We enjoyed watching young families from our balcony, although we did not participate. For all the positives of the hotel, the surrrounding town leaves much to be desired in terms of dining, amenities and ambiance. There savung grace is proximity to ferrys to Mackinack Island. Later on our trip we visited Harbour Springs and Charlevoix, both were lovely quaint towns. We would chose to stay at one.of those locations in the future. We also would not go back to Mackinack. It was a huge disappointment... but that's a story for another review!

Room was clean, however cleaner smell was so overpowering, it was giving our kids headaches. Bed was not the most comfortable, but was okay. The setup of the room and size were great and the view was amazing.

Just fyi when viewing hotel the pictures are lovely.. rooms look great.. water view is nice HOWEVER.. it is not noted anywhere that you may NOT be in any of the rooms shown .. there is a small strip building that looks as if it was a 1950s. Roadside motel in its day.. the rooms are tiny bathroom is legit smaller than a closet.. a large person would not fit in this bathroom. Definitely felt like a bait and switch situation.. if i was given the choice to stay in the much lower quality room at a discount that would be one thing but that was not the case.. if we were shown the picture of this room we woukd of chosen a different hotel.. positives were water front .. saw a firepit with smores for kids and kayak rental onsite.. also very close to ferry.. discount ferry tickets noted in hotel ad also not a discount.. can be purchased for 9 dollars cheaper on ferry site.

Very nicely situated close to town and the ferry. Kids loved the s’mores every night by the lake. It’s great having both inside and outside pools! The outside pool needs some cosmetic repairs ie tile falling off, pool deck kills your feet, chairs need power wash or replacement, but it’s heated and large enough for lots of kids and grownups to relax comfortably. The breakfast was ok…but the potatoes were raw and the yogurt is the cheap kind with no probiotics. These days full breakfasts have become standard, but some places just cook the food with more care. I skipped breakfast the last day because it was kind of gross the first two mornings.

The property is on a great location with gorgeous lake view, convenient access to ferry to Mackinac island and restaurants. The staff is very helpful especially those in the dining room. They kept the dining area fully stocked, clean and were very helpful to families with young children. I highly recommend this place.
