Bavarian Haus Lakefront Inn

Great lakefront hotel. We walked right out the door and onto the beach. Lots of things to do for the kids. Great recommendation for dinner from the front office staff. Would definitely return.

Toilet was loud and ran forever, and kids were in the adult only hot tub. other than that great place!!

Room was very modern and clean. Pictures of the rooms do not do them justice. The beach had everything needed for my teen kids to have a good time to include kayaks, firepits, and hammocks. Breakfest had the necessities along with a great balcony for a morning sunrise bite. Will be back again!!!

Lakeshore with family amenities & firepits.is nice. Didn't like admittance to first room which was not cleaned after previous occupants. beds are cheap, thin mattressed , & hard! Overpriced.

We enjoyed that the rooms overlooked the water. The room would have a higher rating if the screen & slider door were fully functional. The screen was ripped & the glass door slide extremely hard. When using the bathroom only 1 roll of toilet paper was filled, the other was empty. The bathtub & floor near the toilet had long pieces of hair. This for cleanliness the low score. The breakfast room was open from 7-9am it was small and busy. We didn't wait for the pancake maker with several kids in line.

We had a great stay as a family. We requested two rooms near each other with sinks inside the bathrooms (vs in the main part of the room). They accommodated both requests and gave us adjoining rooms. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. We loved having a lakefront room for such a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable too! We all slept well. Location isn’t far from the ferry docks. The hotel offers kayaks for a low hourly rate. We didn’t get to take advantage of that, but it’s a great amenity. There are also grills and picnic tables out back. Only things to note: breakfast is continental. Would’ve been nice to have some scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. Also, the floors are thin, so you can hear your upstairs neighbors walk around.

We stayed here for 3 nights over the Memorial weekend. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the room was updated. No issues with the room. Although the weather wasn't the greatest, it was nice to be able to open the window to let fresh air in. This property would be ideal during the summer months. The beach is right behind the hotel. The pool was quite large and it was great that they had 2 hot tubs! The only negative was the breakfast. It had a lot of options, but would have been better if there were more protein options such as scrambled eggs or sausage. My family is from Michigan and we travel through St. Ignace quite often. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, right on the lake. Loved the patio. Easy to get to the room and breakfast room was close to the elevator. It was nice that the pool was open late so we could enjoy it. The only downside was that 1 of the 2 hot tubs were out of service and the 1 that was "working " only had 2 jets that worked. We were looking forward to using the hot tub especially after having been running around on Mackinac Island all day. All in all it was a great place and we will definitely come back here again. Already recommended it to family members.

beach And large outdoor area for our young family with little kids! Property has definitely declined and staffing shortage for sure. Front desk lady was great and super friendly. Our rooms (3) all were ready early! Bonus!

This was fine for a two night stay with kids. Had a little playground, right in the water which is nice.
