Holiday Inn Express & Suites St Joseph, an IHG Hotel

Average for a Holiday Inn. Nothing really blew me away but everyone we encountered was friendly and nice. Lots of kids. Both my son and daughter made friends swimming in the pool.

We loved our trip. The room was just right for my two kids and myself. The view of Lake Michigan was gorgeous.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and this trip was disappointing. Our room was not stocked with normal supplies like soap, the in room coffee maker was broken, ants were crawling around the kitchen area, there was a crusty dried up contact on the table (we don’t wear contacts)…gross! Ice machine didn’t work. Our rooms key reader stopped working and we were locked out with our things inside (including our child’s medicine) until someone could fix it. Besides all of this the room was just not clean. Mold covered the ceiling in the bathroom, food or some mystery stuff was on the wall by the kitchen. The patio furniture outside was broken and cobwebs covered the railings.

The hotel is clean service is great . However the pool had several kids from baseball group under 12 in pool without supervision. When reported to desk they said it always happens. For us as parents it was safety issue

Nice family room

Great water view from balcony room facing Lake Michigan. Guest suits are great for a Ladies weekend or family getaway...breakfast was great also, fresh and hot...lot's of options. Staff was friendly and very helpful when asked for anything.

Wonderful staff! Loved Jenny who took care of breakfast. She was so kind and thoughtful, made our stay there very enjoyable. We had the large reception room for all our family to gather in and found it very comfortable.

The suite had everything we needed for a family of four. The view of Lake Michigan across the street can’t be beat. My only complaint is how small the dining area is for the breakfast in the morning. For a place of its size, it’s such a small area to pack everyone in to grab their breakfast. Aside from that, everything was great. The pool was heated and we had the whole thing to ourselves. The hot tub was also great. I would suggest this location to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

The hotel needs to be updated! It’s just worn down from so many people that stay there. It’s nice and close to St. Joes though. And having the extra bunk room area for kids is perfect.
