Staybridge Suites Benton Harbor - St. Joseph, an IHG Hotel

It was awful. From check in to out. When we got there the room was not as described. They did move us to a different room but after they wanted more money (even tho we paid $222/night and their rate was $189) we forgot our tablet in room 1 to which we were told multiple times they checked but via our tracker knew it was still in there. They finally agreed to let me look and it was exactly where I told them I left it. Our second room, the fridge went out overnight and they made us move rooms instead of just switching fridges. On night 3 power went out (happens I guess) but fire dept had to be called to get people off the elevator which scared my kid. Last night our power went out in half the room and all the front desk said was “ good thing you don’t need lights to sleep. Just close your eyes.” Room wasn’t cleaned at all and had to ask for more towels but didn’t get them because they forgot to put some in the dryer. Not to mention the town in general did not feel safe at all.

What a great hotel for families to get together and make memories. The pool was open but water and pool room pretty chilly. Very nice staff.

We did not have any toilet paper in our room and discovered this at an inopportune time. The shower gels/supplies were empty but there was a partial bottle of shower gel in the shower ledge. The top shower bar grip was loose and would have been disastrous if someone fell and grabbed this as it would have pulled from the wall. It took us 1 day to realize our room's air conditioning was on 60! No wonder we were cold! There was no coffee in our room but we did have tea bags. When we first went to our room the door was ajar and this is very disorienting! Was someone in there? That is a first..walking into a room where the door was open.This was a Fall Break family getaway. My daughter's room had a pink bottle full of cleaning fluid left in the bathroom and she has toddlers! The pool was not functioning and this was such a disappointment! We would have liked to know this before we left for this place. We did sleep well once we got our temperature adjusted as our room was dark and quiet. The hot breakfast was very good and plentiful!

Clean, cozy room that fit our family of 4 perfectly.

i stayed there with my four grandkids, it was very nice and they loved it. We enjoyed the pool area. Very nice, we will be back :)

The room was nice & clean. The price was great for basically 2 rooms in 1. We had the suite with 2 seperate bedrooms. The check in & check out was very friendly & professional. The only complaints I have is that we could not find an ice machine on any floor. Also some family on the floor above us let their children run the hallways until midnight, and then again the next morning around 8 until checkout time.

A favorite hotel for our sons and families at the holidays. Large, clean room, nice staff. But the pool was closed for remodeling…at the holiday…bummer for all of the grandkids. Not much to do without a pool. But comfy stay so everyone can be together.
