Staff is excellent. Too many loud children in the pool for several hours, very annoying since the pool was a major reason we came.

Only thing I didn’t like was too many kids couldn’t relax in the Hot Tub they were running around and just super loud and they were running up and down the hallway. Too much chlorine also had my eyes burning.

My family & I were in the city of Detroit for a funeral and I'd booked 2 rooms for 2 nights for my 80 year old mother and my family. I found the morning staff (set-up for breakfast) delightful and so friendly, simply a pleasant experience. They answered any question we had concerning directions, etc. The rooms were very clean & open, great outdoor window light (these are always a plus for me) especially because my sister is a germaphobe. We love to see as well as smell cleanliness.

I will never book with this place ever again. We flew in went to the hotel to see if someone can check us in early to the front desk person was so not understanding. She was rude to us the whole time made take our child out side and wait in the cold in the car till checkin time.We even told her we had a wedding we needed to get dressed for to see a family member get married. We were so sad to be treated that way like it didn’t matter. We had to book at the holiday express that gave us a room and got us out of a cold car. Honestly they saved the day. Don’t book at the Hampton Hilton you will regret it

Very bad, move rooms three different times. Dirty, looks like no one vacuum, trash left in the room under the desk. I know things happen but three rooms. I don't think so. Front desk girl she had long braids she was very understanding and sweet. But the rooms were nasty. I had my two little boys with me and it was for only one night but I couldn't have my kids sleeping in just anything. It was blood stains on one of the bed sheets and pillow cases. That shouldn't have been washed just thrown away. The lobby looks nice the room should look the same.

Spent 3 nights while visiting my son at U of M. Hotel/room clean. Had to change rooms because 1st room had a bathroom door that would not close. No room service, unless requested by 9 am day of. Location does not accept cash payments, which was a surprise because I chose 'pay at property' to use cash and then was told I could not when I arrived. No mention of no cash policy in hotel listing or booking. Also, had to sign a statement at check in saying I would not have extra people in the room, throw a party, have non-guests in the pool, etc. If this is standard, I guess it's fine, but it bothered me because they handed me the form after I mentioned I had wanted to pay cash for the room. It made me feel judged, like as a cash customer I was somehow untrustworthy. I checked in with my husband and two younger than college age kids. What did they think we were going to do? And, they had my credit card because they wouldn't take my cash. Meanwhile, we had other family members that checked in this hotel that same day, that were not asked to sign the 'no parties' statement. I don't know what to think here. Hotel room floor smelled very strongly of weed each night when we returned to our room. Bottom line, hotel was clean and about a 30 minute drive to U of M. We only slept there. Not sure If I'd stay with my family again. Question safety of location if no cash accepted & no parties statement required.

Very friendly staff all the way around. Very accommodating for my dog and children. The pool even had pool toys for the kids. The beds were comfortable. There were some spots in our carpet where it looked like candy or gum had smashed in making it sticky, but can't help previous guests. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we will use this hotel again on our next visit!!
