The Siren Hotel

Great hotel, really unique. Understandably, the rooms are very small. We travelled with two small children and it was a bit crowded, but it was very clean and had everything we needed. Would recommend to other travelers and would definitely stay again.

Best getaway in the city. My kid kept saying he didn't like the "fancy" hotel but did enjoy the bunk beds. If you want a nice bite and drank enjoy the Ash-Bar down stairs. Keep in mind you need a reservation.

So there were no two bed options but the bunk beds and considering I was with my mom I thought this would be a fun mother daughter experience. So the lighting in the lobby and hallways was too dark when we checked in late at night. Like I get a vibe but folks shouldn’t almost trip over tables. It was Saturday night and so there was a lot of noise but gratefully the door/rooms seemed soundproof. So the bunk bed room is small. The heater did not work so they brought up a space heater. The handle to the shower fell off while twisting it and the curtains surrounding each bed were off the track. There is a phone on the wall but I was told it was decoration, what? 👀 I slept on the top bunk and the bed was comfortable enough but getting out of it was treacherous. My mom said her bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Overall, this is a hotel for couples and singles who are having a night on the town. I would perhaps stay here with my husband but The Siren is not a family friendly hotel. Also the cost was kind of ridiculous but this was the most economical option for an overnight stay in downtown Detroit.

I recently stayed here with my family. We attended an event at Ford Field. The walk there and back was nice and easy. Plenty of restaurants to choose from as well in the evening. The hotel it’s self nice and clean. And all employees we came in contact with were super friendly! I even left something behind, and was contacted with options to get it back.

Great location. 12 x 12 room with two double beds pushed up against walls, no chair, tiny shelf attached to each bed big enough for phone. Not big enough for our family of four.

A wonderful, quirky little hotel in downtown Detroit. Went with my kid to see the Red Wings play, walking distance to all the sports venues. Restaurant was excellent. Didn't go to the bar but looked cool. Room was very small, we had the bunkbed room! Shower was wonderful. All told a five out of five!

A very charming hotel. The hotel was in a perfect location if you want to walk to enjoy Red wings at the Little Caesars Arena. The room was a bit small to fit a family of 4 with suitcases. However we really enjoyed the hotel and the bar. The coffee in the morning was excellent.

I booked this hotel specifically for the amenities listed on hotels.com and it is extremely deceiving. I’d recommend doing research on the actual hotel before believing a description listed here. This hotel does not have an on-site art gallery. Nor do they have 2 restaurants and 4 bars/lounges. There is one restaurant and a coffee shop. The lobby is beautiful. Check in was very easy and the workers were very nice. I loved the location, it is within walking distance of a lot of things and that was great. We booked the playroom as it is the only room for 4 guests and it was tiny. Literally two beds, a small coffee table, and a coat closet along with a bathroom. The bathroom was beautiful. The tv in the room is mounted along one of the walls where the bed is so it was a little inconvenient. There was no other table or a chair to sit at. If you plan on spending time in the room other than to sleep I wouldn’t go here, especially with a family. To get ice you have to walk down a dark stairwell to the basement. Our room was cold and I had to stack pillows along the wall to even stay warm in bed. We tried to adjust the room temperature and were not able to. The elevator is a tad scary also, it bounces when you get on it and the lights flicker. The only reason I’d book here again is for a getaway with my partner and in a different room but even then I probably would.

It seemed suitable for a young couple, not family-friendly. The size of the room is tiny for the price. Beds are basically on the floor, no table to set your things on, and poor lighting. The amenities listed on Expedia included an indoor pool. There is no such pool which angered my three children. The only redeeming quality of this place was its proximity to our event at Ford Field.

Our family stayed at The Siren Hotel while we attended a wedding. Room only had two hangers, party of 3 adults with one 10 years old child needs more hangers than two. We asked front desk by calling and also by text, hangers were not provided. We also asked for more towels to accommodate 4 people (which was clear on our reservation). Unfortunately, we had little time and no time to make multiple requests since we arrived late afternoon and left 6am the next morning. Staff seems too busy and not friendly at all. Would not recommend this hotel and will not stay there again.
