TownePlace Suites Boston Logan Airport/Chelsea

Nice for vacation with family. So quiet and close to the airport.

The location is not walkable to any convenience like a store, coffee, restaurant options. Very industrial, lots of litter on the ground within a couple blocks of the hotel. Hotel is marked as "family friendly" but I would say that "families can stay here" is more accurate. There was nowhere for my family of 3 to sit and eat, I had booked the room stating 2 8yo kids but there was 1 chair in the room and a circular table the size of a large pizza. Barely enough floor space to have a suitcase opened, let alone 2- especially once the couch was pulled out. We had to put our suitcases in the hall by the fridge and tiptoe around. Nowhere to hang more than 1 towel. I would have loved a towel rack versus a peg on the back of the shower door. Vertical soundproofing not so good, horizontal soundproofing a tad better, window soundproofing good. Thermostat was difficult to keep the fan running without having to do a temp up/ temp down because we needed the fan on to drown out the upstairs and side neighbors. So I had to keep getting up in the night to turn the temp up and down by 4 degrees to make it run. Probably great for a solo traveler but definitely not staying there with my kids again.

Heated salt water pool was amazing! My kids loved it

Whenever we fly out of Logan, we start here. It is easy to get to (as long as the bridge isn't open) it is always clean and the staff is like family. You couldn't ask for more

We had a wonderful time here in this hotel. The staff handed out boston marathon cookies to our kids and the driver Joe was very helpful to us and patiently answered our questions about Boston.
