We had the city view room and nothing could beat that Boston city skyline. Room was smaller than expected however cozy. Security was top notch so no unexpected visitors. We paid for breakfast one morning and it was great with lots of different options. The “living room’ has a fun “family” feel to it. Went to a Celtics game and the 2 minute walk back to our room was amazing. Easy access to the subway system. Highly recommend this hotel! Staff was top notch too!

Fantasy venue for solo or group travelers. A bit small for a young family but it’s right in downtown next to some great dining options and public transportation that can get you anywhere you really would want to go. Highly recommend!

Awesome hotel, only thing is that if you drop your phone in the corners of the bed like my child did, you will be without a phone for a while.

An interesting hotel. The rooms are very very small, only 150SF. The bed is against the wall so there is no way to walk around the bed. You must climb over your partner to exit the bed which is very inconvenient at night. My kids had their own rooms and they thought it was cool but for us in mid 60’s it was a challenge. You control everything with an iPad. The location is ideal. Check in time is 2:00 pm but our rooms were not ready until after 4:00 pm both days we arrived. We made it work but I’m not sure I’d return. Really felt like we were in a closet and there should be in-room coffee.

Great experience !!! Staff and Service was an A would definitely recommend and will be back.I want to really acknowledge Anthony the bar tender and I think Dominicio from maintenance came to our room to help with something minor I hope I have his name right he is part Dominican. Talking to them felt like family! Them and the rest of the staff I love and due to them I would always come back when I come back to Boston.

Hotel was very convenient to everything we wanted to walk to or take the train. Very clean and very comfortable. Staff was above and beyond pleasant and very accommodating. Room is extremely small, keeps you out of the room so it was a positive for us, kept us exploring or hanging out in the lobby (which has the best decor). Will only hold 2 ppl per room so for families it’s less than ideal, perfect for couples

Cannot stream tv because the internet bandwidth is insufficient, hotel restricts amenities (no conditioner or lotion, had to ask for additional pillows and they are absolutely limp, fridge isn’t big enough to hold anything, kitchen isn’t open for lunch) and makes you ask for them or go buy them. It was cute, had a lot of character. Staff was kind, but I don’t want to check myself in; I came to get away and relax. I’m not looking for the Walmart self checkout experience when I have a weekend away from my kids.

Certainly a "quirky" hotel but not in a bad way. The place was spotless and the staff were more than helpful and accommodating. The check-in area/lounge on the 4th floor was a great place to hangout night or day (Had to check my work email every now and then and enjoyed the view from the outdoor patio). I wouldn't recommend CitizenM for families but if it's just you or a couple give it a go. Short walk to the North End and the North Station is right next door.
