Not a four star hotel. Rooms are tiny, one cramped elevator, essentially no staff in the restaurant. The one server in the restaurant smelled like marijuana and seemed high when my family was ordering (she asked my wife and I if we wanted to share a spoon) and had no knowledge about the items on the menu.

When I booked the room I knew it was close to the TD Garden but it is literally around the corner. Lots of great bar resturant options in the area for a family or a couple on a romantic getaway.

This hotel has the perfect location for our purpose. We attended a game at TD garden which was litterally right around the corner. Everything we needed was within walking distance which was a good thing because parking was not ideal. Overall family and I had a wonderful experience and would consider staying there again the next time we visit Boston!

Friendly staff and cute property but overall a pretty horrible experience. We had to sleep in a room that fluctuated between 80-82. We let the staff know and they said they turned the A/C off so the temperature couldn’t be changed. Spent way too much money to sweat all night with the family…

The Boxer was perfect for our family’s stay! It was a quick walk from North Station. We checked in, had a delicious dinner at the Finch, took in a Celtics game, enjoyed a comfortable night’s sleep, a great breakfast, and easily hopped back on the train home. Highly recommend for convenience and comfort, and the food was a great bonus!

It was perfect for my family. The staff was very friendly. We were so close to TD Stadium which made attending the game stress free.

It's perfect! Smallish, clean, comfy, quiet. Great bed, great shower...couldn't ask for more! Telling our friends and family. Loved it!

As other reviews have noted, the rooms are small. I would avoid upgrading a room to a junior suite if you have older children. The pull out bed is small and not suitable for a teen and pre-teen child. Also, if you have a car, this is not the hotel for you. Offsite parking for $37 with no valet in a garage blocks away next to homeless services. You are only allowed to take your car out once a day for that price, which was very inconvenient.

I was unimpressed, especially for the price. We have stayed at other “boutique hotels” in the past, for much less cost, and everything was better: the bedding, the condition and size of the room, the comfort of the lobby… here, we had the smallest, weirdly shaped room on the floor, the closest to the elevator and stairwell (which I specifically requested to be far from). When someone sat at the desk, no one could access the beds, the sink was clogged, and the alarm clock was broken (it had a random assortment of digital lines but no discernible numbers; it also went off in the early morning hours and we had to unplug it to shut it off). The mattresses were mediocre at best and the white noise machine (which can be yours for only $55!) is available on Amazon for less than $18. We checked. We also had a $20 credit toward food at the on-site restaurant but that was for the room and not per person; at $9 for a bowl of oatmeal, our family of three couldn’t even get a minimal breakfast included and ended up skipping it altogether. They do offer a glass of champagne at checkin, but for people who don’t drink (like us) this is totally wasted. The location and proximity to North Station was excellent; it was the only plus for me.
