Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center

When checking in the girl in the front did amazing, but after heading back to the front counter and extending our stay the person was not very informative causing the next morning being awaking by a call from the front desk that they needed a credit card for extending our stay. After that we received a phone call from our family and we had to be back home due to a family issue that had to do with two minors and we had to be back home ASAP, unfortunately not the front desk nor customer service via phone could assist us and we had to call the third party and they continue to have conflicting stories. We try to change the date for another day and we did not get that opportunity. We will be back in the area in the near future for different events but this time we will choose a different alternative which will consider their customer over the money while business was extremely slow. As a experienced Manager for a Fortune 500 Company we took care of the customer first and made sure they have an outstanding experience. Thank you very much for your help and understanding.

The Gaylord is always a nice place to stay. I think it is the best quality hotel on the Harbor. It is a bit pricey...but quality doesn't come cheap. The front desk staff and Bell services were friendly and accommodating. The Valet service was amazing. It was an easy and effiecient process; as my family and I were in and out on the Harbor quite a few times. The downside was spending time in the pool area. The pool itself was very enjoyable and there were multiple hot tubs to enjoy as well. However, there were some unruly guests. As can be expected anywhere you stay, but there were many unattended kids and adults that were oblivious to the rules that applied to the area. The pool staff were great and as patient as they could be...but it would be nice if they were given the power to remove folks who refuse to follow rules to keep all of the guests safe. They reached out to security for assistance, however, security seemed more afraid of the guests; than the welfare of keeping the area safe. I can assure you if you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation where you would need security's assistance; you would be on your own unfortunately. Besides that, the location was amazing. The views were unmatched. We enjoyed our stay overall and will be looking forward to another stay!

The place is huge but I did enjoy getting my steps in. More signs could help you find your way around. Overall a great place. I've stayed here on both business and family outings.

This particular Gaylord is really more Business Focused, which is disappointing since the National Harbor has so many family friendly activities -

An excellent hotel with great facilities and excellent access to all the key tourist attractions in DC. Great for families.

This property is so beautiful! The rooms are spacious and there’s so much to do in the area. Walkable, convenient, great pool/jacuzzi and things to keep kids occupied. It’s an enjoyable place for everyone.

Always a great place to stay. My family loves staying here when we visit D. C.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Gaylord hotel. It was very clean and the bed was so comfy. My daughter didn’t even want to get out of bed. The housekeeper Pavon was excellent. I look forward to booking my next family trip
