Harrahs New Orleans Casino & Hotel

BUYER BEWARE*********The only reason i rated this hotel a 2 was because there were some very nice staff. Otherwise, i could NEVER speak with anyone at the front desk via phone. I traveled from florida and had a late arrival. I was told that i needed to contact the front desk to inform them. I attempted several days at several different times. I could never reach anyone. After sending a message via Expedia, i received a call/ message and was assured that my rooms were notated. My family and i arrived around 1:30 AM only to be told that they only had 1 (double bed ) room available...i reserved 2 ( double bed). Front desk told me that they only guarantee a room... they can't guarantee the room that you reserve to be available. I was still charged for a (double room) although it was a single. A manager was supposed to call me and i never received that call. For the price, the building/ rooms are very outdated and rundown. The room carpet was stained and dirty, the ac control panel was falling off the wall, the bathroom sink had a huge crack that spread across it. Light switch was missing. All elevators were broken aside from two. It was very reminiscent of the hotel in the Steven King film "the shining". I was cheated out of money and would never think about staying there again!

Trash was found on floor as soon as we walked in. The couch was stained to the point it reminded me of my first apartment. Where someone slept on it daily. The sheets felt like something i would buy a kid for a college dorm room, you know the kind you throw away when you move. The shower was dated but water preasure was good. Dont hope for cold water ran cold water for 20 minutes and the best i got warm water. Like 82 degree warm water. The hallway on our floor smelled like snoop dog was taking a smoke break most the time. But hey its the big easy what do you expect. Would i stay here again, most likely not. The hotel is close to the casino and bourbon st. And the outlet mall.
