The hotel location was wonderful. Short walk to great restaurants, the WWII Museum, the French Quarter and the Trolleys. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was clean and I felt safe as a solo traveler, although I did have family staying a couple Of blocks away so we did a lot of things together. I did have a few small issues. My toilet was clogged after my room had been cleaned. Turns out housekeeping threw a 1/2 bar of soap in the toilet and replaced it with a new one. Even though I was leaving the next day. They also did not replace the body soap in the shower for 2 days. They were however quick to bring me extra hangers and towels when needed. On my last day, they kindly checked my luggage after checkout until I needed to leave for the airport. However, I went out to get some last minute gifts that morning and returned 1/2 hour before checkout. My key worked in the elevator but then would not unlock my room. I had to go back downstairs to have my key reactivated. I would stay there again, despite these few issues. Hopefully they will take note of them.

My family and I love this hotel. The environment is relaxing and the staff is is very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Valet Services! Accidentally left some items in vehicle out in open, and everything was still where it was left. Thank you!

"The Mayor" welcomed us on Friday and I had high expectations. Weekend front desk staff was apathetic about the fact that my television did not work so I could not drown out the noise in the hallway til the wee hours of the morning and the screaming children next door. One of the servers in the restaurant was rude, but let me be clear, it was not the gentleman taking orders Saturday morning. He was excellent and went above and beyond to make up for the rudeness of his co-worker and the apathetic front desk clerk. We were locked out of our room before checkout time and had to go back down to the front desk after breakfast to have new keys made. All we received for our inconvenience about everything was excuses. Another patron we met in the elevator experienced the same issue with his television. The sink stopper in both bathrooms had no mechanism to move it up or down. The excuse was "engineering has to look into that." REALLY? Engineering for a sink stopper??? Next trip to The Big Easy I will definitely book early enough to use my Hilton Honors points. Unfortunately, the best hotels were already booked this trip and we settled for less.

Good: Cambria is beautifully decorated. Front desk staff was friendly. The rooms were clean & had a unique design. Comfortable beds. Walking to the FQ was doable. I was concerned about walking at night outside the FQ, but there was enough foot traffic that I felt safe, we were always back by 11 pm though. Valet parking should not surprise anyone, it is common to be charged for parking unfortunately. Just how it is. You may find self-parking elsewhere, but you take the risk of people breaking into your car at the overnight lots, it happens..ALOT. Bad: First day there, we wanted bottles of water because it's hot & you need to stay hydrated. We asked the bartender & she basically said she wasn't set up. Her tone was off-putting & rubbed me the wrong way. We left empty-handed. There is a mini mart around the corner on Lafayette, so save money & buy drinks there. I don't normally order room service, but my kid wanted beignets. They charge a 20% fee for orders. Is it the tip for staff, an egregious way of the hotel nickel and diming you? I'm embarrassed to say how much I spent on just ok beignets. They didn't even deliver it to the room! I had to come & get it myself. The deal breaker for me was coffee. Not a famous cafe au lait, just regular coffee & they asked if I wanted it billed to my room. I have never paid for a coffee at a hotel (not even at other places I've stayed in NOLA), this was the first. It ticked me off. Overall, I MAY consider staying here again.

Upon arrival we were in love with the aesthetic, and the location of the hotel. We checked in and had the BEST service and recommendations for our first visit to NOLA from James. I really can not say enough about James, he went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience in NOLA. Great hotel with Great staff! The hotel smelled lovely, and the room size was very accommodating for our family of 4 with a great view of the Crescent Bridge. We will defiantly book here again on our future trips back to New Orleans! 10/10 recommend
