The location is great it’s right in the middle of bars and restaurants. During the night it’s perfect to walk without getting a Uber. Also several museums are close to the location a 15 minute walk. Overall, it was good to go experience and have a good time with the family. Although I feel it’s more for adults than kid friendly. But the place where we were staying is kid friendly.

The hotel itself was ok. But it is located not just in French Quarter but right on Bourbon street. It was our first time in New Orleans, so booking this hotel without researching the address was probably our mistake. If you like stinky and extremely noisy street with multiple cheap dirty bars, homeless people right by the entrance of the hotel (and everywhere else), drugs being openly sold on every corner, smell of weed mixed with smell of pee and spilled booze - then it is a great place to stay. If you are a family looking for a relaxing weekend and learning about the history of New Orleans - this hotel is a no-no. The hotel has a nice piano bar with live jazz which we wanted to go to. But it did not allow guests under 21 - even though it was probably the most appropriate and innocent place for kids in the whole street! On the first night we did not sleep at all because there was a loud party in the room next door. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everything - including drunk woman laughing like a hyena, then, when she left, drunk guys fighting and arguing about who should pay her, then yelling and bumping into furniture… That kind of place! I tried to call front desk multiple time to ask for security to come upstairs. No one ever picked up. In the morning we had to move to another room because those guests were staying for more nights. Keep in mind reception never picked up the phone and for anything you need you have to go downstairs and ask in person.

Derrick did a great job checking us in and throughout the week made sure we were getting everything we needed. Jamie at the pool bar was very helpful and provided us with advice on local attractions. Peter, Richard, Ruth, Oscar, Sabi, and Shirley at the Desire Oyster bar made us feel like family and we enjoyed their company during each meal. And, hey, we can't forget Joe in the parking garage who was a true gentleman each time we entered/exited from the garage. We had such a great time, and we will be back.

Never experienced a delay. Flying into another state randomly unannounced until the next 39 minutes and missing a family wedding I flew out for. Worst experience and horrible service

Positives...beautiful facility! Hallways all smelled like flowers. Coffe shop was amazing! Work out facility was one of the nicest I have seen. Right on Bourbon Street. Clean rooms with lots of towels! Pool was beautiful! Negatives...Took 3 k cup machines to actually get one to work. Last 2 days the pool was closed on 100 degree days. vent in our bathroom opened to next room and we could hear all phones, conversations, music, and screaming children in the next room. Overall, we would definitly stay there again.

I arrived late at night and the Lobby Service Agent told me that my room was sold out already even when i call before to confirm everything was good. She told me that is what happen when you book with a third party. She then proceed told me if i want to canceled my room and go somewhere else were i felt i was getting throw out of the hotel with my kids at 11pm night . Then i told her if she will give me a discount because i paid a more expensive room and she said in a very bad manner no. I then proceed to ask to speak to a manager and she told me she was the manager in charge. I ask for her name and she told me i am not going to give it to you. Then i told her i was going to make a formal complaint and then she told me she was going to call security and throw me out . This is the worst hotel experience i had in my life. I travel almost every other week and this is the only time i have get a such horrible guest service and being intimidated to be thrown out of a hotel just by asking her name that i have the right to do so. Then next day i procced to ask for the manager in the morning and she was very nice and apologized for the other manager actions. She was very good but my experience was already mark by the nigh shift. I don't understand why an employee that works in the hospitality business will treat a paying costumer so bad. I am a General Manager for a hospitality business and I am writing this review to advise NOT TO STAY IN THIS HOTEL This incident happen on July 8 23

When I first got to the hotel I was excited but when I went to my room it was nasty and dusty. I took some water on a rag and wiped the toilet, sink, desk and door knob. I rag was flirty by the the time I got finished. I had to go to the 24 hour cvs to get allergy medicine because my eyes began to puff and my nose and throat was terrible. They switched me to another room where there was dust and no light when you first entered. I called them several times and went to the front desk for two days straight to complain about the light. My light never got fixed. The night staff was very rude. Personally, if I didn’t like my job I would quit!! In addition, the pool was not clean. It looked very mercury. My room was above the pool and I didn’t see them clean it once. I never got to swim with my family.

I recently spent a week at The Royal Sonesta during JazzFest first week. I've stayed there many times over the years and it has consistently served as a fabulous oasis while in New Orleans! It's the best location in the Quarter and all of the hotel staff quite literally treat you like family! Special shout out to - Malcolm, Chantel, and Wayne!! Looking forward to my next visit. Why stay anywhere else?
