I stayed here with my baby. He somehow unplugged the A/C while i wasn't looking. Maintenance came right away and helped us. Everyone was very polite. Breakfast was great. Very good grits. We will definitely come back

We came in for a baseball tournament. When we arrived on Friday we had to wait TWO hours in line with 4 kids. The poor employee at the front desk was new, then they had a call in and then they said the manager was at the hospital. I understand the situation was not ideal and I really can't blame the overwhelmed woman at the front desk. It just really didn't start off our weekend right standing from 5:30-7:30 with small kids. I have stayed here mutliple times before and never had this issue.

I have been here before and been very pleased. A year later, things seem to be slipping. This is a newer property that is in an ideal location but is not being managed or cleaned well since my last visit a year ago. First of all they overbooked the king junior suites apparently and gave me a room with 2 beds... for a date night. How disappointing. Secondly, after that disappointment, the room they put me in had mold spots and dust all over the A/C unit. They moved me to another room that still had some mold and dust but was better. I just gave up at this point. If you want good reviews Chateau St. Denis, give the customers the room type they booked and get the cleaners to do a better job on the rooms. Just saying...

We went for the Christmas Festival and stayed at your hotel due to a reference from a family friend and its location. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our short stay and will stay there again!!

We have stayed at the St. Denis before, but this was an odd experience. Upon arrival, no parking could be found in the hotel lots (A, B, or C). Our reservation was for two queens, but we ended up in a room with one king. 20 minutes after entering our room, I received a call letting me know we had been assigned the wrong room and needed to gather our bags, vacate the room, and return to the front desk for the correct room and keys. We were then assigned to a king suite with a king bed and a sleeper sofa, which was an “upgrade” (although still not the 2 queen beds I reserved”. The keys to the second room didn’t work, so my husband went to the front desk again for new keys. Our room was adjacent to a baby who cried all night. I was woken at 12:27am by a call from the front desk to my cell phone. Whoever called, promptly hung up when I answered. This is a busy time of year for this property and the staff were stretched thin - be prepared to park far away from the hotel.

Location to points in community we like to visit and dine at. A good breakfast. Clean bed an room. My experience trying to make a reservation with 5 attempts with no success resulted in going thru Expedia who I often use elsewhere in USA. I would rather deal directly with Chateau Denis, But it has turned difficult this year/——my wife and I have started with you for 6 years either at Thanksgiving or Christmas as we travel to be with children.

This is the best hotel in my hometown! I came in for my grandmothers memorial service and family reunion. The breakfast is amazing , the rooms are so country comfort. Every-time I come to Natchitoches I stay here because it's so clean and beautiful and welcoming.

This hotel has lots of potential but too many major issues to recommend or return. First, we reserved a room with 2 queen beds for a family of 4. They didn’t hold one for us and “upgraded” us to a regular sized room with a king size bed and an uncomfortable sofa. The light bulbs used in the room lamps are a harsh fluorescent bluish color. The toilet had no top lid just the bottom seat. The bed was made with one sheets and a single thin blanket. This is what I would expect in a cheap roadside motel not a historic boutique hotel in a prime location. The parking is over 2 blocks away. Most of these issues could be corrected with good management. Unfortunately this hotel is not being well managed. Great location though!

The property is terribly understaffed. The person who checked us in was courteous and helpful. However, she was the only person there when the check in rush started so I’m sure other guests were frustrated. The cleaning crew doesn’t do a good job at all. The bathroom floor, the area around the tub, door facing and the vanity were dirty. We had to go to the front desk to get supplies for the bathroom. Coffee cups were not in wrappers, so that’s a health concern. Complimentary breakfast was extremely limited. There were no options for young children like cereals and fruit. The property with the proper maintenance and management could be a four star property. If I return to the area, I will probably stay elsewhere.

This was a great stop. Easy to walk to the main shopping area. We did have a paranormal experience. We checked in late and just went to bed. As I was laying in bed I heard the shower turn on. It was only myself and my child. She was in bed with me and neither of us had taken a shower prior to bed. After 15 seconds or so, it turned off. I did not get up to check and see if the shower floor was wet. At that point I turned the lamp on next to the bed. After a few minutes, it happened a second time. The shower did not have a handle that could have been pulled down. It was a twist handle. It was very strange. After looking online, I saw some other paranormal stories that were similar. I am not one who has every experienced something like that or fully believed in the stories I have heard. Aside from that, the property was very clean and the staff very friendly. Our room was extremely spacious.
