Homewood Suites by Hilton West Bank Gretna

Previously had stayed at a different hotel chain and had a bad experience and that led me to you. I loved everything about this hotel, from the friendly staff, cleanliness and that ceiling fan was the icing on the cake! I will be staying here anytime we are visiting family in the NOLA area!

Really enjoyed staying here with my family. The room was big enough for us to relax and very close to the bridge so cross over to Nola. Very convenient, well maintained, breakfast was delicious everyday. Only complaint was the pool was unfortunately closed, but that was the only complaint I had! Staff was amazing as well. Will be back and stay here specifically, very affordable!

Room was clean and great for dogs. I dont know if there was a noise or curfew policy. But there was a party the nights we stayed there at the outisde common area. Parties didnt end until around 3 am. Manager's office was right there he didnt say anything to them so I think this hotel is not for families. I had a 4 month old baby and a dog and they kept waking up from the noise.

I would NOT recommend staying here. I stayed three nights. The first two nights there was no hot water in our room. We had 3 towels and 3 pillows to share with my family of 4. Only one bed had sheets on it. No extra sheets in the room. I asked for sheets, towels and a pillow over and over. She gave me a sheet set but no pillow, blanket for bed or towels. Night 2 we got towels and a pilllow. She said there were none clean and waiting on staff to do laundry. The main reason we stayed was the outside grill area and pool. The pool was closed by the time we arrived on Friday evening (7:40) and was closed Saturday and Sunday. The entire length of stay the pool was not open one time when there The toilet was not attached to the floor. It moved. This could be dangerous for an elderly person or child. We folded out the couch bed and it was dirty. It had cookies in it. There is no way the staff had folded that out to clean and not seen the food folded up in it. Police outside was the view. The grills outside were broke and not useable. After talking to some people we found out they have been broken for a long time. The amenities that we stayed there for (clean bed, hot shower, swim and hangout/grill in the patio area with another couple/ friends that stayed there) didn’t happen. We tried to make the best of it. The lady that was working there was polite and said “I understand that nothing is working and I will have the manager contact you”. No call. Will cont. to try.
