Staybridge Suites - Louisville - East, an IHG Hotel

Not a good experience staying at this hotel. We booked our rooms last minute coming to town for a family emergency, and now I know why this was the only hotel with rooms available. The receptionist completely messed up our billing with multiple credit cards and we are still trying to sort it out days after leaving. The property has the feel that it should be nice but has been poorly maintained. The fire alarm went off almost every morning at 7:00 AM. Would not have continued staying here if there were any other options available.

My overall experience was really good, i only have a few gripe’s about my stay. First of all i didn’t really like the fact that there was a $100 dollar accidental fee although refundable sometimes my bank sees things like that and want to hit me with overdraft fees on the account that i don’t like keeping money in my checking account because of fraud. Only keep just enough for things like this and purchases here and there. I also wasn’t to fond of the fact that even though i stated that i was disabled my room was upstairs and really far away from the front desk. Even with an elevator ride i had a long walk, the front desk worker said i could park around back and id be much closer (which i was) but then i had to walk up two flights of steps! So i was kind of in a d*mmed if i do d*mmed if i didn’t situation. With all that being said there was a lot to choose from at breakfasts but the quality of some foods were not so good but i still enjoyed somethings. The dinning room wasn’t very spacious there was very little room to sit with my family to enjoy our food. Actually the whole area (breakfast bar included) was not very spacious, all of us kinda just rubbed elbows at times. But all in all my stay at the hotel was very pleasant after i got past those little issues!

This is my first time staying here but I will definitely book future stays. They had fresh baked cookies upon arrival, fire in the fireplace, the dining area was decorated for Christmas. Mon-We’d they do an evening social with a hot snack and drinks. The room was perfect, I travel with small children and having a full kitchen was exactly what we need. Drawers in the bathroom vanity so you can actually put your stuff away (we were staying for a week), plus a usable closet! The staff was so friendly.

Three night stay for three people. I booked a suite for my two sisters and myself. We were visiting family in Louisville. There was a queen that my sisters shared. The pull out was twin sized even though it. Was advertised as double. There was no bedding, pillow, sheets or blanket. I called before leaving for dinner with family. Asked that it be brought while I was at dinner. Nothing there when I got back after 9:00. Went to desk and was told they forgot. It was cold that night but thermostat was locked and could only get AC. Next day maintenance came and unlocked it. Friday night after we returned from family event, the door handle fell off and we were stuck inside room. Called desk several times but phone didn't work. Person couldn't hear me. Finally reached someone. They came down and got us out. Maintenance came hours later to fix it. No one came to empty trash or leave clean towels. The kitchen floor was sticky upon our arrival. I found housekeeping and paid her $10. To empty trash,leave towels and mop. I think the worst of all this was being stuck in the room with no way out. The pull out was not comfortable. Maintenance who fixed the door asked to check bathroom. Toilet in the room above broke. It had leaked into our ceiling but wasn't dripping. He just wanted to make sure.

We stayed here 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. Our 1 bedroom suite was comfortable and spacious for 2 adults and 2 children. The staff was very polite and helpful. Everything was clean and the bed was so comfortable. It was in a convenient location and close to everything in town although it was off the main highway a bit so it didn't feel so cramped.

We truly enjoyed our 8 days that we spent there. We arrived a little early, but we were able to check in before the actual time. The location was easy to get to the Expo Center for our tournaments. The pool was great and very well kept up. Every staff member was very courteous and helpful. We were sorry we didn't get the name of the young lady at the front desk with the dog, but she was amazing. Every time we were around her, she interacted with our family and was interested in what we were doing and was making sure we were enjoying our stay. We will be playing here again in next year's tournament, and we are definitely staying here again.

The staff were fantastic, I cannot say enough about them. Always helpful, accommodating and smiling. However I cant say the same about the room. The door handle to bedroom came off in my hand couldnt get the door open without waking everyone in the room up. Shower pressure in the second room was so bad we had to use the other shower. I paid for both. There was dry blood on the couch. The fridge was out of balance and froze everything we had. The adjusting knob for the fridge was broken. The doors to the room and interior doors stuck really bad. TV remotes needed batteries, and there was no guide on what shows available. Again if it wasnt for the staff we would have left and found other accommodations. Hopefully maintenance will repair the above issues, so the next family can have a great experience. Thankyou to the staff.

What I liked was, pool and grill were around the corner of my staying room convenient for my 2 kids ....Staff were friendly & Kind. Breakfast was great everyday, snacks were a plus in evening. Only biggest problem Key Card would not work on back entrance my entire time there had problems each time entering building. Overall clean quiet & attentive.

Our suite was just the right size for my husband our four adult children who met us in Louisville to go see Elton John. But for over $350 for one night I would have expected it to have been cleaner and have newer amenities. There were cheerios on the floor in the bedroom with two double beds. The living area had what looked like red kool aid stains, and in the room with one bed the carpet was tearing away from the floor. Being someone with mobility problems, that could have been a trip hazard in the dark. The beds were comfortable. However when we asked for an extra pillow and blanket we were questioned why we needed it. Well our 25 year old son didn’t want to sleep in the same bed as his 22 year old sister but I didn’t know we would have to explain the sleeping arrangements of our three daughters and one so to the desk clerk. We were also confused by the seating arrangements in the living area. The suite can comfortably sleep six people yet the dining table was for two. It would also have been nice if the televisions were Wi-Fi capable for casting. That’s pretty standard these days. Lastly, the tubs do not drain well and so while showering the water was up over our ankles. We did sleep well and it was nice to have a noon checkout.

This is great location for travel family with sports activities 😀
