Wingate by Wyndham Louisville East

Pros: The staff were friendly, answered all of my questions and were helpful. Housekeeping was very good: The room was generally clean and all of the linens, towels, etc. were cleaned and changed as needed. The grounds were well kept and the shared areas in lobby, fitness center, etc. were clean. The breakfast was about as expected with a few hot and/or DIY options, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. Cons: The biggest negative was that my room, a King suite which I expected to be in good condition for the price I paid, smelled of stale cigarette smoke and some sort of deodorizer I assume used to mask it. Though the carpet was clean/vacuumed, there were stains and some sort of gunk embedded in it. It was not necessarily the hotels fault, but I feel like if a manager spent any time in the room it was not suitable to rent until the carpets were changed. Because no other rooms were available at that time and changing reservations is a pain, I was stuck with it. The hotel needs to at minimum regularly inspect the rooms and change carpets as needed. In addition to this major issue, there were a few minor issues: The pool didn’t open on time. I booked this hotel specifically so family could use the pool during downtime. Unfortunately we couldn’t use it because it opened late. Finally, as with most hotels in the US now, someone decided to vape on my floor and the whole floor smelled like weed. Hotels will need to find a way to resolve this issue, particularly in “family friendly” hotels.

It was a amazing family experience the hotel staff were very friendly and there is a lot of dining option close to the hotel.

So. Much. Space! Our toddler loved just running around exploring the room. And 2 entrances to the bathroom were fantastic for not waking him up after he went to bed. We absolutely loved this family suite. Wet bar, fridge, freezer that worked, eggs and sausage at breakfast- this gluten gal was over the moon.

Last night there there was a group that checked in had around 8 kids under the age of 13 in 1 room qnd the adults in another. The kids were yelling and screaming slamming things against the walls for 2 hrs finally had to call front desk around 1130

Unfortunately, for the last 2 nights of my stay, an infant or toddler was crying and screaming across the hall from me until midnight. It's a good thing I'm deaf in one ear as I could lay on my good ear and muffle most of the noise. The hotel staff also 'forgot' to provide maid service on one of the days so I'm not sure what that was about. Other than that, it was an acceptable to good hotel stay.

I stay here 2-3 times per year when visiting family in Louisville. It’s comfortable, the free breakfast is good, I like the no pet policy, no smoking, it’s close to restaurants, easy to get on/off I-64, next to Sam’s Club for gas and whatever, microwave and fridge in the room. Value is good.

The hotel did it job. No problems or issued. Grandchildren enjoyed the pool and fitness room was better then most hotels.

We have stayed at this Wingate several times while visiting family. This was the worst room we have ever had! The beds were lumpy and very uncomfortable. The shower curtain would not close; therefore, water leaked out all over the floor! There were multiple cracks in the bathroom, indicating water leaks and mold around the tub. Needs some upgrading.

Came up to see family and stayed here. Very nice. I would definitely stay again

I didn’t like the fact that my hot water was out most of the time while staying in room 307. I have two small children who likes to take baths as well as myself and my wife. I left my number and a note at the front desk for the manager and no call back.
