Hotel Blackhawk, Autograph Collection

My only complaint was that Expedia didn’t advertise that the pool and bowling alley were closed for maintenance. My family was very disappointed.

Great stay for a family weekend. Lots to do within easy walking distance. Everything good as always…we’ll be back!

The curtain in our room didn’t close all the way so the sun came blaring in at 7am. There were a lot of kids at the hotel and they were running all over the lobby and hallways. Needed to be controlled. The bartenders at the Bix bar were fantastic. Friendly and informative.

The hotel is amazingly beautiful and comfortable. Downtown Davenport is great and family friendly.

We've stayed before and loved it. This trip was disappointing. We noticed cobwebs on the windows and the bottom of the bathroom door was peeled and rotted, with mold lining the door out outside/bottom of the shower. When our son took his shower, we found out why. The seal on the shower door was non existent. Water flooded the bathroom, over an inch deep, leaking into the carpeted area. At first we thought maybe because he's a kid, but no, it was the seal, and based on the condition of the bathroom, it had been that way for quite a while, and they had ignored it. Then their cafe and restaurant were both closed in the morning, because they wanted you to go to their buffet. We just wanted a cup of coffee (the one in the room didn't fill 1/2 a cup and was see thru in color)), so we had to walk 2 blocks for a cup of coffee. When we told staff, at checkout, about the mold and water damage, she shrugged. SHRUGGED. Eventually she said she'd let maintenance know. We were going to stay again at Summers end, in fact already had booked. Now we are looking for a new hotel and hoping for one who doesn't expect premium dollar for sub-par rooms and service.

Our children live in the area so we always stay at the Blackhawk. We have always had a great experience. This trip we had to call the front desk several times to report a loud group at the pool as we were in the room closest to the pool on the 3rd floor. They screamed, yelled ran up and down the hall throwing food. We called down 3times and nothing was ever done to correct it. We had a very early flight out and needless to say that didn’t help. This went on past 10pm. We are very disappointed in the lack of response to the situation. I am already searching for somewhere else for pur May visit. Otherwise we do utilize many of your amenities and have always been pleased with the dining/bar and the bowling is always a hit with our grandkids and our children as well. Sorry for the long summation but as a business owner myself, I understand the need for clear, concise feedback. Thank you.

Room was clean. Only reason lower review is we were traveling with kids and pool and bowling alley were closed which was not noted on website and beds were okay but not my fav. Hotel staff were very nice.
