This was an average affordable hotel. The nicest area was the pool, but that had a door proposed open leading to the equipment and chemicals for the pool. The floor of our room didn’t appear to be swept (crumbs and dust). The TV also didn’t work and we tried everything. The space it self was decent (plenty of room), but our room was right by the pool and breakfast area, which was hosting a child’s birthday party, and the rooms are really not soundproof. We also heard a lot of heavy, running footsteps on the floor above us at 1:30am. Service was average; breakfast was nothing special. Location was convenient.

It was extremely loud and noisy. The rooms have paper thin walls. The family next door was so loud, we did not sleep. Will not stay there ever again. Pool area was decent.

Staff was friendly, room was very clean with lots of towels, pool was open, and my family enjoyed the hot well stocked breakfast. The lady working in the breakfast area even asked my kids if they wanted it turned to cartoons instead of the news. Will definitely stay here again!

It was a convenient spot near various restaurants and easy access to places because of its proximity to University Avenue. If you need to go to UNI also convenient. It was super busy because of lots of events taking place for the weekend- Waterloo Golf Open, trap shooting, football, etc. The pool was packed and kids were in the hot tub.

Rex and Sarah were both working —-and both were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is quite large and convenient for family gathering. Will come back.

We liked the idea that there were wood flooring versus carpeting. But didn't think about the noise coming from rooms above us because of the flooring. There was also a lot of noise in the halls the first night we stayed. Sounded like kids; don't know where their parents were.

The pool should have been marked as out-of-service. The hot tub was cloudy with foamy bits of human flesh and way too much chlorine. The pool was also cloudy with some chunks of something (chlorine tabs?) floating around. The chemical smell was overwhelming. We have kids who need to get their wiggles out, so the pool is one of the most important factors when we choose a hotel. We travel to CF often to visit family, and we will not be staying at this hotel again.
