Sonesta Select Indianapolis Carmel

Nothing to like. Staff was rude, the promised free breakfast was a lie. Bathroom had poor lighting. Not one bench outside to sit while waiting to be picked up.Noise kids in the halls late in the evening.

I stayed in a double queen bedroom suite, and the room was filthy. The floors looked dirty, which was especially concerning because I have toddlers who crawl and touch the floor. The bathroom was terrible, with a disgusting shower and a clogged tub. We only stayed one night as we were passing through, enduring the night just to leave in the morning. The hotel had a weed stench, and the staff had poor manners. The room did not come with a microwave, and the mini-fridge was broken. Since we had been traveling, we needed to heat up food. After several attempts to reach the front desk, I was told the room didn't have a microwave and that we would need to upgrade, but no upgrades were available. Later, I called again and was informed there was a public microwave available for use. Overall, it was a terrible experience.

Sonesta Select was a good spot for me to meet up with my children for a short weekend. Driving distance to good shopping was quick and there were many good restaurants nearby.

We were just in town for the weekend to celebrate with our family. The hotel was nearby and reasonably priced. The breakfast offerings wasn't clearly explained at check in. It sounded like they have a restaurant, but it wasn't open and looked like a Starbucks kiosk. The continental breakfast in one of the meeting rooms was typical cold cereal or bagels.

Room did not have body soap in bath room. Room did not have hair dryer in the room. Very noisy with many high school kids still going to midnight.

Everything was great. Only thing I would note is that the hot tub was too cold. I was looking forward to the hot tub while my kids swim. It was just to cool to be comfortable. Please fix for future!!

Traveled with my 17 year old son and dog. It was great! We had a king sized bed and pull out couch. The mattress on the pull out couch was comfy. I liked how there was a table tucked under the desk in the room so we could roll it out and eat meals on there. I was pleasantly surprised we had a tiny balcony. Loved having a pool, hot tub and gym with a water bottle fill up station. This may be our new spot when we travel to Indy to visit family

Pool and whirlpool were nice. Room was spacious. There was too much noise from kids running up and down the halls but I had my earplugs with me 😁. I was surprised that the receptionist didn’t have a map with suggested restaurants. She did have a list of them but a map would have been helpful.

We will not stay at this property again. The staff were rude when we needed assistance. We were told there was free continental breakfast but when we went to get it we were told all the items had a fee. There were a ton of kids running through the halls all night long playing hide and seek- staff did not address the issue.

I have family in the area and this appears to be a good location and facility. This is the 2nd and last time I’ll stay here. The first time was 2 years ago. There was a used washcloth in the tub, the hand sanitizer was used ,and there was garbage in the can. But, there were multiple signs displaying that the room was “cleaned and sanitized” to protect from Covid 19. The desk staff apologized and gave me $30 credit. This visit, we flushed the toilet and water flowers back up and there was 1/2” of toilet water flooding the room. I had to barefoot through the toilet water to lift the float valve and stop the water. My friend called the desk and they asked us to put down towels to prevent water from leaking into the room below. It seemed like they knew that there was a problem in this room and this wasn’t their first rodeo in the old backed up toilet / towel on the floor game. We went down to the desk and they gave us another room immediately and $30 off. Fortunately this bathroom was ok and I could wash up. I’d prefer not to stay here instead of booking and then getting $30 off the bill for dealing with disgusting stuff due to their maintenance and cleaning staff
