Holiday Inn Indianapolis Carmel, an IHG Hotel

Great hotel in a great location. Only complaint is all the young kids running wild in the evenings.

The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was noticeably dirty. There was a layer of grime around the edge of the pool above the water line and one of the ladders into the pool was missing rungs. Big disappointment for our family

The only thing I would compliment on was we had booked the suite with 1 king size bed and in the next room was a pull out couch as we are a family of 5. The king size bed was very comfortable. As for the rest of our stay, it was the worst I have every stayed at a hotel. When you are paying almost $200 a night, you do expect some type of good service. Our room had chips and holes in the walls, the carpet was dirty. I can confirm this as our 2 yr old was walking around our room in the morning with her socks off and her feet were seriously FILTHY on the bottoms. The pull-out bed was uncomfortable and had a stain on the mattress. There was no breakfast unless you wanted to PAY MORE. The restaurant in the hotel was not even available to eat at as there was not enough staff. The bartender who attended my brother's wedding was rude and told my brother's guests that the bride and groom were CHEAP and did not pay for the expensive alcohol to be served. He did not even serve the wedding till 5pm. Was very dis-organized, did not have the room decorated for the wedding. Staff was rude. There was a baseball tournament and the parents all sat in the common area getting drunk while there kids ran and jumped around in the hotel with no supervision and the staff did NOTHING about it. It was total Chaos! We were in room 102 and kids ran and jumped up and down the stairwell even at 12:41 AM still going on. Absolutely Ridiculous!!! Worse stay EVER!

Need more remodeling and upkeep. Friendly and courteous services. Coffee needs work: one of my family member said “ I might be cured of coffee now…”

I only stayed one night, but the staff was very nice, the room was clean and the bed was VERY COMFORTABLE! I had a great experience and would stay again and recommend it to my friends and family.
